Serkan Toto Rumor: Bandai Namco making several NX games, including a Smash for launch

Is it wrong of me to make a comment about not being intersted in a game and then giving reasons for it? On a message board people discuss things and if it makes you feel better just pretend I had instead said "I'm done playing 4 and have no interest buying a port"

All I did is say I'm not interested and gave my reason why. I didn't say Melee was better or that 4 was bad, I didn't insult other people's opinions or for them having opinions. What I said was simple and non-inflammatory

People do this all the time in other threads?

You post a thread about Gears 4 looking good. "Nah man, Gears 2 is the only game I'll play". There's really not a big reason for everyone here to jump on him, especially as plenty of others mentioned not buying this unless there's extra content. To him, this is extra content.

Christ, it wasn't even a hostile post.

That's fair. My response was harsh, I admit. Looking back, it seems as though I got defensive for not a very good reason at all. Sorry about that :)

Exactly

Expect a lot of WiiU ports

Mario Maker should be there, possibly Xenoblade X, etc...

Some of the older WiiU games might get a sequel or something

I definitely don't see this as a bad thing to pad out a strong launch line up, so long as they have a couple strong new IPs as well. Hell, how many people didn't buy a WiiU but wanted to play a few of its games?

Super Smash Bros 4 Definitive Edition for NX

EDIT: it's impossible to be a new Smash. Considering how long it took to develop the last one, it's not possible to make a new one in just one year and a half.

I guess this will be one of the early bundles as well.

Would never happen but it'd be hilarious if Smash NX became the standard pack in game.

I hope Smash NX has a Fuck Melee mode. Where you beat up characters that have Melee physics, wavedashing, et al. And just in case they develop an NX Gameshark, it immediately bricks your system if you try to make them playable.

Very very smart for Ninty if true. I would port all of the great ninty Wii U games so they get another chance to sell. They we're all sadly attached to a dead platform.

Smash, MK8, Splatoon, Mario Maker at launch along with the new zelda will make a very compelling package for people who want to jump back into ninty's arms but skipped the Wii U.

That kind of transition would be better saved for Smash 5.

But they were working on DLC for Smash 4.

Could be a different team. Plus i doubt the full staff are being used for dlc. Leaving the rest to start this project. I agree it wouldnt be a part 5. But i could see a 4.5 type thing. Still heavily based in 4. But enough content and tweaks to make it more than a port

Maybe Smash but not Mario Kart and Splatoon.

They better be working on new ones of those.

Yes, Splatoon is still a multiplayer shooter that would benefit more from a new iteration than a continuation of the same entry. And Mario Kart is far too old now to justify a remake so soon on the next console, it'd be better just to have a new entry for that as well.

Speaking of, what's the WW count for MK8 right now, I need to know for Polygon reasons.

Nintendo shouldn't really bother with porting Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, or Super Mario Maker. Those three franchises would be better served with full-on sequels on the NX Platform.

I really want all my favourite games (Mario Maker, Splatoon, MK8, Smash) on NX though. That way I could just sell my Wii U.

The turnaround time for MK games has been around 3 years between releases for the past while now. Not sure on the others but I know MK8 began development around June 2012 so it was in production for a bit under 2 years.

GBA: 2001
GCN: 2003
DS: 2005
Wii: 2008
3DS: 2011
Wii U: 2014

So a spring or holiday 2017 launch would be easily doable for a new Mario Kart game. No need to port it over and have two on the market if they're probably into production on the next big thing.

5.87 million.

This, also are you port begging? Super Smash Bros is the only one that makes sense, we don't need any more remastered cash grabs. We don't even know if it's compatible with Wii U games.

Doesn't Mega Man's fusion reactor explode when he dies? That's kind of gruesome when you think about it.

I wish we could find out about all the character names that Xander said in his recording session but didn't end up being in the game. There's got to be weird shit like Sutte Hakkun in there.

Just need that and the smash announcer to scream "TEST YOUR MIGHT" and I would die

I'd love to have Smash 4 on NX. It would be the first time in my life I'd buy a console at launch.
