The only way I'd buy a smash 4 NX is with a Melee mode. I don't see a reason to return to Smash 4.
So does this mean NX is comparable with GC controllers?
On a mission now to find out.
Will report back never.

"What is the incentive to buy?"
Smash Bros. for Wii U, but portable.
Man
The melee holdouts are still out there eh?

So, the same game that is already available on the 3DS, but prettier? Considering that graphics are historically among the least important aspects of handheld gaming, that wouldn't be a very appealing concept.
Smash 4 doesn't come close to replacing Melee or even scratching similar itch. Forgive me for liking Melee better and preferring to play that instead.

"I'm gonna thread shit about how much I like melee and don't like smash 4"I stated a simple opinion in a sea of opinions. If you guys can't handle me saying that I prefer to keep playing Melee than buy another copy of smash 4 and would rather jump on me and call me embarrassing that's on you.
Ok try this exercise
Imagine how the smash scene would be affected if they only made the 3DS version
I'd be salty if there was a platform exclusive character.other than Ice Climbers
That's fine and all. But then why are you here? To express how much you like Melee?

Ftfy."What is the incentive to buy?"
Smash Bros. for Wii U, but not on Wii U.
Considering the timeframe here (most likely a November 2016 release), I don't think there's a chance we'll get any new characters. There also the fact that, you know, Sakurai himself said they're done adding content to the game.
I'm hoping they at LEAST add all of the 3DS stages to the NX version, but I'm not holding my breath.
Also, the Gamecube adapter better be compatible with NX or there will be hell to pay.
It's happening, I said it would happen and...
well, most people agreed that it was within reason!
But seriously, I'm glad they're doing this. It would be really unfortunate if Smash was left to die on the Wii U.
The idea of a "Melee Mode" was always perplexing to me. Has any developer who's making a sequel to a game ever included an option to make it play like any previous game? In Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts we didn't get a "Traditional Mode" that gives Banjo/Kazooie their her moves back and turn the game into a traditional platformerwould of been nice though
See what you did Anura
You lit the bat signal for melee players to derail the topic
Lol

I wonder how long we would have to wait until we hear something about NX itself. I guess It might be E3 this year.

Would make sense if the system if the system is supposed to release this yearI wonder how long we would have to wait until we hear something about NX itself. I guess It might be E3 this year.

Well, it's not necessary to be November 2016. If I remember it correctly, did Nintendo said that their next 6 months after release date of new console is considered as launch games, right?
If it's best interest for everyone, I think we should wait until Sakurai or Nintendo make their comments on Smash Port itself in the future before we getting too excited and hyped for it.
I'd be curious to know whether or not an NX version of Smash 4 would support the Gamecube controller adapters. I mean it HAS to, right? I can see a lot of angry Smash fans if a Smash Bros. game released without Gamecube controller support.
Of course, it might not be needed if Nintendo decided to make a Wavebird 2.0 the standard controller for the NX.
Technically he said he's done adding stuff to the 3ds/wii u version/ grasping at straws![]()
Oh oh, I know what I want the most out of smash for NX.
A fixed character select screen. No clone corner. No DLC corner. Everyone with their franchise.

A Smash 4 port with all of the DLC included wouldn't be surprising.
This as well. Dark Pit, Lucina, and Dr. Mario being in their own corner away from everyone else, while other clone characters aren't was very odd.
Also all custom moves unlocked from the start and custom moves for DLC characters.
