I'm not into these low angle, cgi background "hero" shots of the 4 Horsemen at all. They look like they belong in a video game cutscene circa 2004.

this is not doing it for me. Not excited for pretty white kids the movie. Would rather have some Logan in there to balance out.

And J Law bores me in movies now.

Visited my parents for this superbowl.

Mom asked if they were combining Avatar with Marvel properties

I thought about correcting her but just decided to say yes

i was drunk so it seemed like a good idea

Psylocke looks awesome. I quite like the look of the action in this, overall.

I wish we'd get to see more scenes, dialogue, etc., particularly with the new younger characters, but obviously that wasn't going to be in a 30-second Superbowl ad.

why even cast mystique again? Jlaw ruined the character. Everytime I see something cool about this movie they show her, and I hate it soon after....

he was playing too much metal gear rising when he planned that shot.

hopefully she slices a lot of stuff, that sword effect is cool at least. and i like the outfit. but those horseman shots just look so off. it's cornball. definitely very videogame-like.

hyped for storm/magneto/psylocke tho.

yall are tonedeaf with that first class love. vaughn is just a god awful director and first class was pretty bad. though i gotta say if it was his decision to cast mcavoy/fassbender he did so much good for the films. aside from that though...scust.

look, I think FC is mediocre, but being mediocre puts it several steps above Singer's tales from his asshole called "The X-Men movies", which some people mistakenly take for good, some even defining X2 as best superhero output along Spiderman 2 and WW, which is frankly astounding

First class shits on DOFP from a great height.

So many great scenes. DOFP had a great opening scene and then it was all downhill from there.

X2 is a good movie man. I will agree it is nowhere close to Spidey 2 good but then again few comic book movies are. Spidey 2 is prob the best comic book movie ever made.

Are you high bruh? Fassbender/McAvoy Is GOAT tier. Better than Evans/Downey. FC is untouchable

Yeah that movie was pretty awful.

Gentle reminder that you guys said mostly the exact same shit in the exact same tone of voice before Days of Future Past came out.

And again before First Class opened.

I will admit that part of my FC love comes from it basically being a 60s spy flick with superheroes. That being said, it nails the period look, J-Law is actually tolerable, and the McAvoy/Fassbender dynamic is on point. Plus Rose Byrne.

January Jones and the flying girl are definitely weak points but it's still a fun as hell movie.

While I thought DoFP was OK I couldn't help but wonder throughout what Vaughn would've done with it. Not calling him a wunderkind by any means but he definitely has a sense of style that these movies desperately need. Everything we've seen from Apocalypse (admittedly very little) shows that it's repeating the predecessor's mistakes.

This is just not true at all. After watching Kingsman I was even more bummed he didn't come back for more X-Men movies. Vaughn was the one who set the franchise back on track after several terrible films.

First Class was fantastic, I actively disliked DoFP, so I am not excited for Apocalypse. Singer did a terrible job with the sentinels and has failed with Apocalypse screen presence already. Maybe the movie will end up being good, but I would be far more excited for it if Matthew Vaughn was directing.
