Her presence managed single-handedly to ruin future past for me. Her acting in the movie is simply atrocious and you can feel that she doesn't want to be there.

I mean, I do. But I almost kind of wish they'd either stop jumping 10 years ahead each movie, or start using a little bit of age makeup and/or hair dye. I'm sure that would look bad though which is probably why they don't do it.

I do find it funny they went out of their way to explain why Mystique isn't really aging but didn't bother with X and Magneto.

If it bothers you a good deal now, then this is probably a good time to just tune out. It's inevitable that they are going to have to recast Storm, Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Cyclops. Even if the next few movies are set in the 80's or early 90's, at sooner or later they will need to move forward.

I guess at some point they may just decide to do a hard reboot that ignores all of the previous films. That might be for the best really, since it's increasingly silly of them to try and tap dance around the passage of time and recasting of characters. I don't know the terms of Jennifer Lawrence's contract, but I strongly suspect that the hard reboot will come when they finally lose her.

The problem with x-men movies is that at some time it starts looking like a carnival parade. Singer tries to combat it a bit with the leather outfits, but still goes overboard in fanservice. What works in still stylized comic book frames looks moronic in a movie. This is why it starts reminiscing of X-men 3, I think dofp is also overrated in this regard. A lot of the future and coming together stuff looked like some dorky cosplay convention.
As much as two is still my favorite x-men movie, Vaughn is the only one who really got it right.

The problem with the X-Men movies is they don't go full carnival. Give me colorful costumes, take me to the circus. Its shocking how amazing the Deadpool costume looks compared to whats in this movie. Im glad Marvel in general has made full blown comic book costumes ok.

Pretty much the problem with all the x-men movies in general. Was and still am seriously hoping they upgrade the CG, its got that super obvious cg look to it still. Though the added white to apocs eyes was miles better.

didn't notice nightcrawler in that tv spot, dude bamfs away from angel. glad they kept that smoke effect in.

those cloudy shots with the horsemen look off for sure, it's really weird lighting. but their actual powers look on point. psylocke is in raiden mode and storm looks great too.

i doubt they'll fix up that ugly ass backdrop before it releases so i hope there are better shots of it than that.

edit: lmao at those ugly ass first class shots. so many bad scenes in them. "mutant and proud", people actually beg for more of those films? just because they are wearing yellow costumes...wow.
