Considering all of the "will WWE doctors clear me already" stuff Bryan was doing on twitter, I really hope the Bryan stuff now is a Mark Henry style swerve

Never understood the hype behind bryan he was not a great entertainer like the rock, austin brock like people make him out to be. He has just a dry character and is not really entertaining in his segments which he even admits himself. With those things said makes me not care for his matches. That being said it would be good if this was just him trying to get out of wwe contract so he can go elsewhere where he would fit in.

You could feel a connection with Bryan. That's why he was so over.

There is absolutely zero connection with Reigns, that's why he's not getting the reaction Bryan did.

This is a setup for DBry vs AJ at WM.

*one flying forearm smash later*

*Raw the next night starts with "In Memory of..."*

They both are pretty meh to me another era they would just be midcarders at best. The only entertaining guy in wwe now is Brock. everything else feels like filler.

in other news holy shit.

Listening to LAW right now. Meltzer obviously knew something about DB but didnt say anything.

This sucks. I got into wrestling right around the tail end of DB's reign. I remember watching his match against Kane where I think he got injured and I thought it was a work. A year later, still havent seen him back in the ring.

Honestly, I hope it isn't a work in order to facilitate an honest discussion about "fandom" in wrestling. Some of these replies are truly disturbing.

It's because he was a good wrestler.

Well Meltzer posted this:

Will have a lot to say shortly about the Danielson retirement.

If he does retire he still on contract for like over 2 years.

Brock barely even talks yet you find him entertaining......

Bryan is one of the best in-ring performers the company has had in a long time. Guy puts out incredible matches

Yeah I caught that too...I thought he was hinting at a return, he knew something though.

Bryan was what got me back into wrestling a few years ago. If this is true (and it most likely is) it's a huge bummer. I was holding out hope he'd return at the Rumble, but once he didn't I started to give up hope. Then the flight to Seattle rumors got me hyped...and now this. Ugh ugh ugh.

What is it with wrestling fans wanting to see Bryan wrestle so badly that they ignore he had to retire due to "medical reasons"? I guess it's not surprising, its the same people that chanted "Benoit, Benoit, Benoit" at the Hall of Fame.

I just wish WWE was able to convince him to take a trainer position at NXT. Would be awesome

Yes, hilarious. The Rock was a great "entertainer" because he did the same ass related promo weekly, don't you know?

Because in this case, people know exactly what the medical reason is, and it's "The WWE's doctor didn't clear him". Which definitely has nothing to do with said doctor being in the middle of a concussion related controversy (including a Hollywood film portraying him as the villain).

Because he's been constantly tweeting that he's ready to fight. It's obvious if he's retiring, it's not on his terms. So it's either a work, or he's going somewhere else.

His matches like every other hyped guy like balor are pretty boring to me seems really fake with how much it looks like choreographed brock when hes in the ring he tries to make it look like an actual fight whereas guys like Bryan look like they are putting a performance to entertain the fans which make me careless about the matches.

This was the easiest thing in the world to see coming, but people kept putting their heads in the sand screaming "work!!!" and "source???"

Spend the next year and next 5 thread closings swearing the same, while we're at it. It'll do as much good as the last 2 years, and last thread closings. 0.

Gotta be a work. Either that or he got actual bad news from a legit non-WWE doctor.

Either way, I'm pretty pumped to watch Raw tonight to see so I'm not sure why people are saying it was a bad decision to tweet about it.

WWE doctors haven't cleared him, yet doctors who hold more merit have.

God forbid a fake match meant to entertain the audience entertains the audience.

Was this post necessary right now and besides don't you hate the guy?

Didn't a second high ranking doctor recently clear him and say his brain was fine?

I'm on team work. Roman heel turn also.

On a related note, do WWE have access to superstar Twitter accounts? I swear I read something the other day about a recent mishap which implied that they do?

Sad news. I don't see it being a work - he's under contract for a couple more years, so he still has a role to play for a while yet.

Then he can decline the Legends deal and tour the indies and Japan...

Also ratings are going to be through the roof for sure.

These "fans" are actively hoping that he'll try to circumvent the WWE and continue risking his physical well-being in another organization that won't tell him no.

Embarrassed for some of you.

Honesty, I hope that this is just an angle like how Vince McMahon was sent to jail last month and people thought it was real on social media.

WWE wants to go mainstream in social media, and what better way than to try to use storylines as legit social media blasts.

He's going to be on Espn tomorrow night at 9 with Coach.

confirmed @WWEDanielBryan will join me on "Off the top rope". Tuesday 9p @SportsCenter. His first interview on his impending retirement.

Was this post necessary right now and besides don't you hate the guy?

I don't hate the guy. I hate the fans that ruin shows and threads screaming where is he, why isn't he wrestling, why isn't he doing more headbutts

Those same people shouted us down when we were saying immediately there was something fucked up in the ROH shows where he and McGuinness ran their heads into each other like fucking rams, while chanting for more

Both those guys had their lives and careers shortened by that and more stuff the fans cheered for. The fans? Don't give a fuck. Don't see anything wrong with it. That's sickening to me.

And it was necessary right now because people in this exact thread are doing the same thing. "Go elsewhere, Bryan! Some place that'll say YES" "Be a work, Bryan!" "Do more headbutts and matches, Bryan!" We're one post away from an unironic blood for the blood god plea. Again, sickening and deplorable behavior.
