So I ask or best matches and instead it gets people complaining.

I liked his match vs Bray at Rumble 2014

Best WWE work?

vs. Triple H, WM30
vs. Cena, SummerSlam 2013
vs. Sheamus, Extreme Rules 2012
vs. Jericho, NXT 2/23/2010
vs. Bray Wyatt, Royal Rumble 2014

Team Hell No and Ryback vs. The Shield, TLC 2012

If this isn't a work his last televised match was against Sheamus on a Smackdown.

It's possible he might be doing this as a way to get out of his WWE contract so he can wrestle elsewhere, but it certainly appeared to be real at the moment.

I also don't get why everyone trusts outside doctors more than WWE doctors. Aren't WWE doctors more knowledgeable when it comes to injuries that wrestlers are prone to? I bet WWE has more knowledge about how many concussions Bryan has had than any of the outside doctors.

I remember the "Don't try this at home!" campaigns in 1997, where Shawn Michaels said "I've had over a dozen concussions". WWE is getting smart about concussions because they can potentially ruin lives. And Bryan had a lot of them. His family has begged him mutliple times to retire.

Because of the insistence on believing in meta-narratives of Evil WWE keeping Talented Daniel Bryan down to push bodybuilders with no talent. In this world, the WWE doctors are part of the meta-story, and they're also heels. The doctors are henchmen in the evil meta-story authority stable.

Right. If anything, you'd think a WWE-employed doctor would be more far more likely to be put in a position to clear their employer's athletes in the name of making money, which makes their professional opinion in this all the more damning.

If you think WWE doesn't want Daniel Bryan as an active wrestler you've truly worked yourself into a shoot.

Well shouldn't that tell you how bad it is, if he doesn't even clear Bryan?

You seem to be missing the point massively. The question people were raising was whether Bryan was not being cleared as a kneejerk reaction to the recent accusations (including in the film) that Maroon was too soft on concussions in the NFL.
Given he had other doctors and universities clear him.

If there was something found that led to his decision, so be it, but there were reasons people were greatly skeptical of Maroon's reasons for unyieldingly refusing to clear him.

What if it's a work.

What if WWE have actually just won their concussion lawsuit.

To celebrate Bryan is annihilated with a brutal chair shot to the head from Vince.

The AJ Styles vs Bryan Danielson matches in 2003 were incredible on the Indy scene. Crazy to think they won't ever happen on the main stage.

Sure, that could be. But should we really trust Bryan? A man who wrestled through dislocated shoulders, broken orbital bones etc. and has a history of concussions?

Maybe tonights Raw will clear some of it up. But I really think that Bryan, like Kurt Angle, is someone who must be told what is best for him.

Er, they aren't citing Bryan, they're citing the various doctors he went to see and was cleared by, in efforts to get WWE to clear him to wrestle again.

Management doesn't trust him to take care of himself in the ring, and they're absolutely right.

Man, fuck this news. I'll hope it's a lie until I see it but man, if its true...

Bryan is, no doubt, my favourite wrestler ever. From when I started back watching until Wrestlemania 30 he was the guy I was behind and made me care about the product. The months leading up to his victory will probably never be matched when it comes to wrestling for me.

Again, I'll hope it's not true and it's a work but, in case it isn't, I can say that it's going to be hard to top Bryan for me.

Man, this news saddens me as a fan but if he is indeed in danger, then it is without a doubt the right decision...

I'm legit sad that Daniel Bryan is retiring. There were even reports from Meltzer's podcast that he may have brain damage.

Difference is that Bryan has just refused to tone it down. Some guys learn- Cena barely does the leg drop anymore. Still doing headbutts at WM? Insanity.

Quite the hilarious sentiment given Cena toned UP his style in 2015, and is currently out with a torn shoulder as a result.

Also, that "Monster" promo is the best promo package WWE has made. It's neck to neck with the Austin vs Rock one but that shit moves me.

Bryan did it for WrassleGAF, he knew pur ratings were falling so he announced retirement. He's the hero we needs but noy the one we deserve. He's the real mvp. Not me.

Bummed because I missed pretty much all of Bryan's matches during my blackout period. Guess I'll need to go back and watch his run.

Some stuff's going to be difficult to watch, just fair warning

If you do his indie stuff, the McGuinness matches will make you uncomfortable and/or hate everything

If you do his WWE stuff, the turn on the Wyatts to a nuclear crowd will make you happy until you read up about it and find out Bryan immediately couldn't remember any of it

If Rock Austin didn't have that shitty Debra part in the middle it would be the best but I agree with you.
