Every console I've ever owned since the Atari 2600 I've kept. The Xbox One will be the first console I ever sell.
I'm just waiting for Gamestop to have a nice promo bonus, and its gone. Then I'll trade that credit for giftcards, probably for Amazon. That's the plan.
The outlook for the Xbox One just keeps getting worse and worse. I don't feel any kind of affinity for it and the decision to port its few watermark games does not help. I could not recommend the console to ANYONE. If they don't even care, why should I?
Uhh... They do care. They want a new IP to do well. Sales show that many console gamers really couldn't care less about PC gaming so the game is still pretty much viewed as an exclusive to many people (a la Street Fighter V).
This move will cause Quantum Break to have a better shot at doing well, which will thus cause it to be in a better position to turn into a series, and thus cause the Xbox brand to have association with another game brand.
I'm really amazed at the response this is getting from (apparently) some of the most hardcore gamers. We want(ed) new AAA IPs. MS makes a move that will help a new IP do better while at the same time not impacting the majority of console gamers (as many of them don't care about PC gaming) but yet this is bad. I don't get it at all.
I guess some would prefer the game to stay Xbox only and send Phil a ton of tweets in the future (3-4 years from now) about why they aren't making a Quantum Break sequel.

Of and don't be surprised if they announce that 360 backwards compatibility is coming to windows 10. Once Xenia is properly up and running and starts gathering some steam they will look at it and think "we could make money from people who want to play 360 games on their PC". I don't know what it will mean for Xenia at that point in time but I do think they will bring Xbox 360 BC to windows 10 when the time is right.
Yeah, this has to be happening. Why do all the work if it's only Xbox One? They definitely want Xbox to turn into a service/hub in which people have access to a ton of games across various Windows devices.
