Except that by getting the hardware in people's hands, you get to earn money off everyone releasing games for people to buy. Make your ecosystem look like there is no investment in it and then nobody will buy it. Hello Vita.
This is what I don't understand.
On the one hand GAf tells me No one plays on PC. Consoles are where it's at, comfy couch, cheap, bang for your buck, too lazy to build PC, too hard to build PC too expensive to build PC, viruses, crazy uncles, terrible ports, etc, etc.
But on the other hand, apparently, if Xbox games and Sony games were to also be available on PC, then EVERYONE, the dude brah's, the "true believers", the Greg Miller's and Colin Moriarty's, the Shinobi's of the world would all suddenly become PC gamers and Sony and Microsoft would sink?
Which is it, console GAF? You cna't have it both ways.
Common, the reality is that the two markets relalya ren't in competition, specially when it comes to the AAA game space. Microsoft sees this (finally!) and realizes that PC can be just another pillar of revenue for their AAA space.
Now, if Sony and Microsoft wanted to get into the MOBA space...
