I like climbing up big stuff and having to watch your stamina, though I agree with the controls being mediocre. I don't care about the empty world nor the player character's soul being corrupted nor his love being saved nor the nature of the Collossi. The art design is pretty good and the camera is great.
3/10. Watch on YouTube.
You're horrible. Guys, Lilith's horrible.

Sounds truly boring.go and play it.
Edit: now.
I love games like SOTC or the first Zelda. a big world, nothing much else and you roaming around. hits just the right spot.

Do it now! For the love of god man! DO IT NOW!
Edit:I see you have made a wise decision.
I'm trying to think of the most popular game that I found boring to play but the only thing that comes to mind is Red Dead Redemption. And it's more that I dislike the writing and story so much that it sours everything else for me. I do love the setting and just going around and hunting animals.
Oh wait, Half Life 2. I'll see myself out.![]()
ICO was fantastic. I actually cried after I played the PSM magazine demo.
It was so beautiful.
At the moment I am trying to go through Thomas Was Alone, but it is boring me too much.
Which is impressive after I have finished Ryse: Son of Rome today.

Aw... Well, the graphics might not have the same effect on me in current times. But I cry pretty easily so who knows?
Aw, I loved Thomas Was Alone! Such a charming game (with catchy tunes.
That's pretty much it, it is so charming, or at least it tries to be and I do think the writing is kind of fun. But loooooord that gameplay is something I would expect from a super simple game jam thing that stays entertaining for a few minutes. The solution is always clear but you constantly have to switch between all the characters and perform mind numbing actions.
Context plays into it for me. At the time I'd truly never seen anything remotely like it. The impact of that is hard to overstate. There still really hasn't been much like it.
I think I mostly liked RDR's story because it actually had a sympathetic lead and secondary characters, which is a massive rarity in Rockstar's games.

I'm so confused.
It sucks missing out on older classic games. The fact that they dont hold up so well sucks since when they game out they were so refreshing. Its brilliant how Ueda can tell a story with no words. ICO is one of my all time favorites. SoTC was a better game and it blew me away when it came out and overall I like it much better but it never quite impacted me the same way ICO did. I replayed SoTC not too long ago and I was still impressed by it even after all this time. Just try to keep in mind how old they are when playing.Aw... 30 seconds after walking the the door at work I squeezed half a cup of coffee all over myself. Fuck today.
Sure, and I have no intention to take that away from you.
I think it's an interesting study, and certainly several developers have claimed it as an inspiration of theirs (though not to the same buzzword level as Metroid or Dark Souls (which I'm saying to disparage lesser games, not Ghost Song)). I think you can look at how they tried to be somber and minimalist and discuss where they improved things from before, where their methodology still holds up today, and where other games have come in and done an even better job.
For example, despite being super atmospheric there's not really a lot of environmental storytelling. Dark Souls and other games have done a much better job of this. Who are the Colossi? Is it good or bad that they're being killed? Why are there no humans in this land besides Wander and Mono? Does Wander want to resurrect Mono because she's the only other human left, or because she's just a regular girl that he happens to like? What does she mean to him? Why is he willing to keep saving her even at the cost of his self? It seems like she either means more to the world at large, or he's really selfish and willing to slay the Colossi for her resurrection. But then would a selfish person allow the demons to corrupt him? But if she means more to the world then why is Wander the only one trying to save her?
Basically, the whole thing is a giant guessing game. It has no intention of giving you answers, just showing you dramatic events and hoping you'll interpret them as meaningful because in a normal story where you understand the context they would be meaningful. Not even Jon Blow is that pretentious.
Now those are some games I would love to hang out in a stream with you on if you have a means to do so.

Some questions are answered by knowing they are in "the forbidden lands" (also there are other characters in the game) and what he is doing is a forbidden ritual.
I assume that he cares a lot about her and is therefore willing to do all of that although that is never made explicitly clear in the game. I don't think it is also the kind of thing many people would wonder about. But it is the most straightforward solution that answers most of the other questions.
Also the collosi are the sealed away powers of the voice that is speaking with you. Which is why he wants you to kill them. Which is why people are not allowed there.
