The $20 voucher is a pretty nice move, considering I expected nothing. Now I'm just praying to the bubble envelope gods that my copy isn't banged up. I know my Meta Knight amiibo took a beating, and that actually came in a box! I just have never had good luck with Best Buy online orders.

Damn... granted I only paid $64 for my SE with GCU, and picked it up today and it was perfect. But yeah, those keychains are seriously nice looking.

Did they ship yours in a box? I read reports earlier that people received their GS copies shipped in one of those thin cardboard mailers that leaves the weird ripples because it seals together. Mine is still in transit probably until next week, so I'm worried it's going to end up getting trashed in the process.

Yeah, the Discount would have been great, but honestly I'd rather have another collectors item in the keychains. Very glad yours is in perfect condition too!

any time I order a limited edition and they ship my item in one I nicely ask them to not ship them in bubble mailers.
if everyone does this maybe just maybe they will change things back to a box like they used to be in the good old days.

Have they charged you? I'd imagine they have. If it's being prepared you are probably getting it.

At this point I feel like Amazon doesn't care, and won't ever care. I raised some hell when my Bravely CE arrived torn to pieces, along with several other SE games being sent in other wise crappy packaging.
As a whole, unless absolutely everybody says something I don't think they'll ever care to change the way they ship things because it's most cost efficent, even if they have to give out tons of 10, and 20 dollar credits.
Another reason I didn't go with them this time.

it's the reason I go with best buy first and choose amazon second though as best buy always ships my stuff in boxes unless it's a gift card which they then use padded envelopes instead of normal ones like they really could do lol.

So what's the general impression here? It sounds like everyone that ordered through Best Buy (not Best Buy eBay) either has theirs on the way or in hand (plus a $20 credit). Amazon is hit or miss with some people getting theirs today and some people (like me) getting told it's backordered, possibly till April (lol right). And GameStop is GameStop with their usual shenanigans. To me this sounds like an Amazon issue and Best Buy screwing up was just a coincidence.

Seen a couple people mention that their Best Buy orders were actually delayed/backordered and not shipped out. And a lot of other people still seem to be waiting for theirs to update?
I don't think Nintendo released enough copies to cover preorders. But they probably increased total allotments (albeit backordered) which was why Amazon and Best Buy opened up orders again temporarily.
As for the shipping delays across the board, who knows. It can't be that their shipments were significantly delayed preventing them from shipping, if they already had copies in stores. I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to some dumb supply chain issue with Nintendo though, given every retailer seems to be struggling with this release to some degree.

So my Amazon order arrived and, surprise, surprise, a bubble envelope. A bit bent on the side but otherwise great condition, thankfully.
Also, my BB order shipped (got my $20, too) but didn't care when it shipped since the second copy is for collector's purposes.
Overall, a bit rocky on both ends but all's well.

Called Amazon back after seeing some of you received your orders already. They don't understand why pre-orders were not actually in order. I received a $40 credit. My special edition is now down to $26 + a $40 credit if my game ever ships. Shit

At the very least, I still have a "pending" charge on my card so I don't think they've actually processed it yet.
Amazon's mishaps are still making me laugh. They took new orders today and shipped some of them. New orders! But pre-orders that already existed before today were only partially filled. Bizarre.

My wife bought me Birthright. I was more interested in Conquest, so I immediately bought it for $20 as a DLC add-on. But... is there no way for me to boot up Conquest immediately? (What have I done?!?!?!!?)
They are the same game for the first 6 missions, after that you make a choice.

Best Buy has seriously screwed up. They keep updating us with what turns out to be BS. The email said my order would ship today (along with everyone else), and it's still not shipped and doesn't look like it will today. This is already the 2nd or third update that was wrong. At this point I have zero faith in anything they say.
