I agree, but I also see promise in those who feel disenfranchised by the government and politics. These people could easily swing far right, but they can also be swayed far left. I appreciate Sanders talking a lot about certain issues on a big stage, hopefully his efforts will push more people left.

Wonderful. I hope Cruz finishes 3rd; if so, he should be relegated to the toilet tier pretty quickly. I wonder what this will look like as a two-man race between Trump and Rubio.

Hillary is a liberal, she's just not as liberal as us millennials would want. Most politicians won't be for another 8-10 years, and we need to realize that.

People here on GAF have repeatedly said that Bernie needs to do a better down ticket job if he wants congressional support for his policies. I should expect that to be no different for Hillary. Big corporations getting their way is going to murder voter turnout in the future.

I am young and a minority. I'm the only one in my circle of dozens that ever bothered to vote and even I sometimes feel like giving up on the farce. The future is terrifying and not just because of automation or climate change. :3
 
Trump's gonna be the nominee, isn't he? Really didn't expect this to happen. Also great but close win for Hillary. Sanders closed the gap but it wasn't enough :(

1. Vote in the general for a Democrat, regardless of who it is, because the stakes are simply too high.
2. The political process is far, far more than the presidential election. We need a revolution on every level of government, we need record turnout for congressmen, for senators, for mayors, and for governors.
3. This is much bigger than a brand, or one candidate, it's about ideology.

So I really want to know what goes through some of Bernie "supporters' " heads when they whine about how they won't vote, how they don't care what happens if he loses, and how he's the only thing that got them interested in politics in the first place so they'll just leave.

It's like people aren't listening to him. They're idolizing a candidate who doesn't want to be idolized, and they're ignoring key parts of his message. Some of you are giving up on the entire political process after like what, 2 years? Less? Is this a joke?

We thought we taught those whippersnappers better than that. You don't give up everything if you don't win exactly how you wanted to win. A partial victory is still better than a total, crushing defeat that could literally set our country back decades.

CNN already projecting Trump's win. I mean, I don't disagree with that projection, but at less than 5% of votes in, either they must have serious numbers to back this up, or are insane.

Just got home from work, by the way.

Bernie did a hell of a lot better in Nevada than I thought he would. I was expecting his numbers to be in the 30s for some reason. Glad it's much closer than that--pretty similar to the results of 2008.

That's exactly what this is about: ideology. Bernie Sanders isn't a politician, he's a martyr for the far-left youth of America. Same for Trump and the far-right idiots that blame their failures on the blacks and gays and Mexicans and muslims.

Probably more likely that folks know that Hillary is going to be more of the status quo. Look, Bernie not getting the pres nom doesn't mean I'll magically stop voting for quality candidates in my area, but having more status quo in the highest office of the land just reinforces the kinds of garbage people that run for office.
