Yes, and that's not as unlikely as many people would believe.

I don't know, I'm on the fence on that one. That depends on the magnitude of the anti-Trump sentiment, and it depends on what percentage of Bernie supporters would rally behind the Democratic party for the general instead of dropping out completely. Those aren't two things I can say for sure are likely to happen or not happen, because cross-party matchup polls at this point are wildly inaccurate and there's nothing else to gauge those two factors.

It's not that Hillary is a "weak" candidate by any measure, it's that Trump is bringing out the crazies in droves. The fervor from the left has to match if not exceed that, and that's what's worrying. GOP candidates win way more frequently than they have any right to simply due to low voter turnout and Democratic voter apathy.

Until something happens like a terrorist attack, and becomes fucking President. Don't play with fire friend, might be burned.
Economic downturn between now and November is a real possibility.

I'm not sure Hillary needs any help where losing is concerned, though.

I disagree that Trump could even be close to Hillary on foreign policy. Trump sounds like a typical Republican when it comes to expanding the military and taking action to appear strong unlike Obama's "weak" foreign policy. Even if his was slightly better, it's okay to fuck things up on every other policy issue?
He would need to be significantly better to make up for the inevitable fuckups elsewhere.

Trump has a lot of stuff against him in the GE

- The GOP has a hard time in the GE anyway, due to demographics. The big population states and even most of the swings states are either heavy Democrat (except Texas), or slightly Dem leaning.

- He has absolutely no appeal with minorities, and he burned that bridge back at the start. There's no walking back from that, especially not on a voting block that already swayed Democrat. Minorities are required to win the presidency, and will continue to be even more required as time goes on and the population changes.

- Once Trump gets the nomination, he'll be forced to take GOP money and campaign for down ticket candidates and he's not going to like that and his supporters are not going to like that. If he refuses the money, he loses, no questions asked. It will bankrupt him. If he takes the money, he loses huge appeal with the people who got him nominated because now he's part of the establishment.

Oh I agree. You can call them on it, but what do you accomplish by calling them names? You think you change their vote? Make your case with logic or reasoning. Don't insult, is all I'm saying.

You can't reason a person out of a position they didn't reason themselves into

No, they don't. And that sentiment would not be nearly as common if so many hardcore Bernie fans weren't threatening to "punish" Democrats and the people who rely on them winning by either switching to Trump or abstaining altogether. When mass amounts of posters are claiming it is Bernie or Bust, what else can you do, rjinaz, but voice your opinion on why this is a dangerous, self-defeating and/or incredibly shortsighted option? And you know what? To be perfectly frank I think someone who votes for the GOP nominee knowing what is at stake just to be spiteful is a horrible person, even if I would not call them such openly.

yep. and the ironic part is that those bernie supporters would/will be the most vocal in hating trump (or whoever GOP) if he wins.

I almost decided to drive to Spartanburg to be at Trump's speech. I wish we had done so now, haha. That would have been interesting.

Love seeing Jeb continuing to LOSE hard

Glad Clinton won by a decent margin

Rubmentum is terrifying me

Hope trump gets the nom, it will shred the right

i cant wait for the debates between Hillary and Trump lol i can imagine Trump blasting Hillary for all the times she took his money in exchange for political favors.

I say this every day, every night, every afternoon, and it's so true.

Jeb is a mess.

How will it bankrupt him? He hasn't spent very much money and most of the money he has spent is to pay his own companies.

A presidential run is a lot more expensive. With primaries, it's all focused over time, over various states. With the presidential election it's a half year gauntlet across a dozen states at the same time. The money will run out eventually.

And the GOP isn't going to let him not take donor money.

Oh I don't know. There is a looong time until November. Minds can be changed. But not so much if that person wants to be defiant or is angry about it because of being insulted time and time again.
