I can't really be bothered to poopoo Naughty Dog as a whole, but whatever dumbass thought they could slip that in needs to face the music.
Difference is, Naughty Dog makes great games so people will be more forgiving.
So you're saying everyone defending nd here works for them/sony?To the people mocking others who are supposedly "defending" ND:
When you guys have someone at your company who does something shady or underhanded and it slips by you do you say "fuck my entire company sucks and so do I! "?
Is there anything they can do regarding this though? Seems to be a trust issue only, that you have to trust your employees or contractors that they're not taking stuff from others without permission. Otherwise it seems to be pure luck if another guy sees it and recognize the art from somewhere else. I cant see any easy way to cross reference every piece of art at least.I mean, this is another Last of Us subway map situation. But it seriously doesn't hurt to at least double check permissions before putting it in your product. But ND needs to learn from their mistakes when it comes to using artwork not produced in house.
Lol, nice.

If ND doesn't change this picture and fire the guy who did it though? I will 100% put that on ND as a studio.

I'm just about done with Naughty Dog after this. Bunch of theives, going to support an original third person shooter in April that doesn't steal stuff from others. Good thing Remedy has high ethical standards unlike ND. Very disappointed get your shit together Naughty Dog or you can kiss your studio goodbye.

Nah that would be a nineteenth century Victorian paintingA nod to the last really good AC game? If so, its a nice gesture. If not, ND has some explaining to do!
This doesn't make any sense at all!
Had that thought as well. It's definitely bad for ND's reputation.I wonder how much stuff they've used that they haven't gotten caught for.
That looks like a nice nod to AC actually.
Reposting from the other thread.
Jonathan Cooper is an ex-ubisoft animator. He joined Naughty Dog and said some stuff about his previous employer when the female assassins thingy came to light.

Now with this news, an Ubisoft Montreal dev (creative director) tweeted this to him

He waited two years... all for revenge.

This happens because the US government turned corporations into people. It's why companies have code of ethics training. Except video game companies, apparently. To the people mocking others who are supposedly "defending" ND:

First Ellen Page now this?!

So they "stole" a concept art that will only be used on a picture frame hanging on the wall? Yeah...such a non story. I'm there on day 1 ND!

Can you imagine if this was 343i?
I'd be so pissed if I worked at Naughty Dog right now. They were probably expecting a day of great press and now they have to fire some artist.
Oh hey it does. It's also one of the few that's a piece of hand-done art versus a photo. Lazy indeed. If you Google "rock arch beach" the ACIV concept art pops up.
It's probably just a lazy artist.
Can't see what motivated a ND artist to do this. Especially for a 1 second scene in - for now- what is simply a trailer, and is subject to change. It's like people go out of their way to create controversy.
I can't for the love of me understand the defenders, the employee who did this did something completly wrong and if ND defends him somehow they should also share some of the blame.
Will unlock in a few minutes.
Probably needed to get some thing done asap.

Please go on! Try to be nice to each other.
