I'm a bit afraid of playing until there are more fixes in place. And please just let me buy the colors. I hate survival mode.

I would surprised if Capcom doesn't allow us to buy it when the shop goes live. I also hope that when DLC characters are bought their colors are already unlocked.

Jesus. In two days I've gone from 1200 LP to 700 LP.

Feels like it's much easier to go on tilt in this game. Either that, or people are starting off with a higher skill level than in 4.

Or both?

Anyone around to lobby it up? I am east coast, CFN Bizazedo, play Bison.

Redeemed my "Volcanic" codes...look at all dem titles!

Classic EX color and Battle Costume Dictator

Chun's battle costume and Cammy's EX color.

CE also gave me 1000 Zenny too which was surprising.

Does anyone know how replays work?
Does every single match you play get recorded and uploaded automatically? Or is it only every so often, and you have to do something manually like in SFIV?
All Casual, Ranked and Battle Lounge fights get stored on your Fighter's Profile. Not sure how many exactly per category, but I think it's somewhere in between 30 - 50 each. Open the menu up from there and you can save them inside CFN's Replay folder.

I'm free if you wanna play, west coast though if that matters. CFN: LegendX48

Nice Ryu Rushdown!!! Ur throw game is on point, and u got some nice frame traps. Making me think about picking up Ryu now...lol

I'm going to have to play against your Ken some more to learn what I can punish. Those air tatsu's really threw me off guard and your mixups after that aa kept getting me every single time.

Great matches man! I was nervous playing against you the entire time and freaking out haha. I added you to my favorites, lets play again sometime.
Lol don't let the points get to you man, u have a solid game plan and great fundamentals. I just beat a bunch of scrubs online, I'm intermediate at best. I took advantage of that frame trap you like to do as well when u whiff a sweep and then Dp, lol, u should use that seldomly or when u know I'm trying to press buttons. Hopefully we can play lag free once the network improves.

Also added you other guys who quoted me Dubz & JeanRalphio, will get sets with you tomorrow!

It's like everyone I encounter plays flawlessly despite being rookie or bronze. Everybody can block a cross up. Everyone hits max damage punishments. Everyone is a playing super safe.

I think this game caters towards the hardcore audience a lot so right now fighting game fans/players are playing. I feel like down the line when more casual people pick the game up the less experienced players will turn up.

I feel like 80% of the people I've played so far jump waaaaaay too often. It's so easy to punish as Mika with wingless.

The moment a match loads I'm basically just waiting to input that move as they'll probably jump right at the start.

Yeah if can be tricky, my friend at shoryuken thinks it's gonna be useless in a month once people get used to it, but I think it's solid. You can go high low, throw, or block string, and I don't think you can DP it to get out of defending. Against strong players and in sets yea, it might get predictable.

Also you guys should play Moridan, his Karin is sick.

And Flux Wave has great Mika tech.

I start with hk Chain a lot, actually. Back in 3S, I would often start with Air Knee Smash, as well. It's been a thing forever.

What people don't do is try to jump over banana peels and soda cans, though. I figured they would at least try.

After playing against a few gaffers who are knee deep in fighting games, the divide in skill is clear.

I'm gonna study these replays hard and beat you guys. Need to not panic and turn into a god damn drummer, and learn to cross up more. The fact replays allow for input display is wonderful.

In general, jumping is better in this game than 4. Fewer good reversals, some characters have inconsistent anti-airs, etc.

Jumping in any fighting game is a bad habit that even top players sometimes have to cull.
Yeah when I first got USFIV on PS4 (my first contact with the SF franchise) I had to force myself to stop jumping. It was so easy to get screwed over with.

Those are good ideas tbh. Also I think I've only ever seen one banana in gameplay, lol

i was actually surprised how many good players in sf4 on gaf. damn you all for being good. i thought they'd all be hanging out on other fcg centered forums

Ever since I saw that other gaffer stop scissor kicks with a banana peel, I've been throwing them out against Bison. I still lose, but I did stop a scissor kick and a slide with it.

lol yeah, I realized I was throwing that out too much, but muscle memory just kept taking over even though I didn't want to. Was trying really hard to meaty hit your wake up DP, too, but I kept getting beat out by it.

Bunch of cold blooded assassins up in here. I still remember playing Haunts online when SF4 first dropped, thinking I was hot shit, not knowing who he was. Fun times.

I'm having trouble integrating Karin's Seppo dash and the follow ups effectively in matches. Any thoughts on that? What are the best scenarios to use it?

Damn last night was rough, won like 30% of my matches. 97% were against Ryu. 2 Karin And 5 Zangief of all things. Fought so many Ryu I can count the characters who weren't him lol.

Outside hating him now and the feeling like he can just press buttons with him and go through mostly anything, the Zangief chun match is snore fest. It's the same nonsense it's always been at this point.

I just hit super bronze. I have a 6 game winning streak without ragequitting once. All I did was learn some vega tech and he's clicking with me. I love non charged vega :D
