Feels like it's much easier to go on tilt in this game. Either that, or people are starting off with a higher skill level than in 4.

Or both?

Both. There isn't an endless sea of scrubs that hadn't touch a Street Fighter game since II that one can just plow through for easy points this time around. Plus, a lot of people actually learned to play Street Fighter with Street Fighter IV so there a little better prepared this time.

High damage and stun also helps if you can take a round in three good reads.

Anyone had a problem with Favorites not showing up in CFN? When I search someone I've favorited they are still Starred, but the list is empty when I go to the "Favorites" tab. I wanted to watch some Snake Eyez!

In general, jumping is better in this game than 4. Fewer good reversals, some characters have inconsistent anti-airs, etc.

Jumping in any fighting game is a bad habit that even top players sometimes have to cull.

It seems like jumping attacks have worse hit boxes though as they get stuffed easily by a lot of crouching and standing attacks. But still I do think they're better simply because focus is gone. Focus allowed a lot of characters to escape jump in pressure from in front or cross ups if they were't ready to anti-air by simply pressing two buttons and dashing away. Which is why so many players keep looking to get in that cross up range to apply pressure. People have to be more ready than every to air to air, dash forward on reaction, or do auto correct DP's.

Finally having some good matches with Laura now. I'm anxious to play and learn more with her.
Pretty sure I'm still *bad*, but getting better. Sitting at 300-400 LP now. Add me if willing to body.
Fighter ID: Archey

Played around 4 matches right now, haven't played in a few days. 3 casuals and 1 ranked, won everything except the first casual match. So far only the second match had lag but so far so good.

im practicing normals?

Finally getting the hang of the Vega Vs. Zangief matchup, scary as it is. Poke 'n Punish, brehs

Getting better with my hitconfirms too, which is saving my ass in ranked right now. Ooh, and here comes a Dhalsim player. Time to get bodied by him, heh.

Why is fang so good? I played one earlier and I didn't find him that OP - I lost but barely. Don't get the pink/purple HP gauge either. Whats that for?

He's not I don't think. People are usually unfamiliar with him. I got 12 wins in a row due to this mostly and not my skill in particular. But we are talking low level play regardless.

He's not OP.

The purple gauge is poison. You slowly lose health after some of his attacks hit you and you only stop after 10 seconds or if you hit FANG.

Makes sense. I only played against him briefly in survival, so I didn't know his moveset. Pretty much why I lost, but it was really close match.

If you don't have Fight Request set to confirm each match before it starts, there's a chance the game might still be partnering you up with less than 5-bar opponents. Definitely happens.

I do this, but sometimes still get players masquerading as a 5 bar. Match starts, horrible lag ensues.

Hah, got my first ragequit. Came down to pixel health for both me and a Ken player. He EX Tatsu'd, I punished with a throw for the KO, Instant disconnect.

Goddamn, I was not expecting to main Vega when I bought this, but here we are. Still planning to learn Nash, though.

Trying to calm down and concentrate on basic stuff. I'm finding that my inputs for fireball motion and srk motion are out of whack. I'll get a srk when I want a fireball and vice versa. =/ I need to tighten that up.

I think I remember getting bodied by Sanford Kelly a week ago, was a Ken player, will check the CFN ID if it goes back that far enough and try and get the replay.

Either him or a very good imposter.
