Yep its incredidble fast in UltraRedownloaded USF4 for kicks.
Tried ranked matches.
I literally get them every 5 seconds. Less than five seconds.
So. Yeah. Fuck off Capcom with your bullshit.
Yeah training mode is how I became aware that the diagonal was the one missing. It would read as just down-forward-punch. I have to make a concentrated effort to hit that diagonal input, which is hard when you're trying to pull off the move quickly.
Easy game to learn, hard game to master, right? To get really good, you'll probably have to read lots of guides and practice a ton. You can set the CPU dummy to do lots of different moves so you can practice countering them, but once you know the basics, the best way to improve is keep playing.
There's nothing quite like comparing an 8 year old game that was iterated on and re-released 3 times to something that's been out just over a week.
Made me giggle lolI guess I'll just wait eight years.
Yes my Rushido works great in ranked but not elsewhere lol. I gotta work on adjusting my game plans to get better. Thanks for the matches!
It's almost like you've never played an online game at launch over the last 10 years, how quaint. The issues will (hopefully) be ironed out over the next few weeks. If you don't see the insanity of comparing a brand new game 1 week after launch to one that has had 417 weeks of network tinkering I have no idea what to tell ya.Silly me for expecting a game to work as intended. Silly me for confirming it's not my connection and it's all on their end. I guess I'll just wait eight years.
Wrote some basic guidelines on how to play Dhalsim over in the other thread, for those interested. Includes some simple pointers on how to fight against him too.
I preordered the game on Steam ages ago. Was I supposed to get a costume out of that?
This is awesome, nice job :]Wrote some basic guidelines on how to play Dhalsim over in the other thread, for those interested. Includes some simple pointers on how to fight against him too.

Ah, okay. Only ever bothered with her in training a few times. Thanks. The Chun-Li alternate outfit. When you go to select a character, you should have the option to change your costume and colors when you've selected Chun-Li.

Why do people rage quit in casual matches? I will never know...
Also, tons of frame-skipping. "Online was only having problems the first day and that they fixed them quickly" my ass.

Links to all the pages I scanned from "Street Fighter V: A Visionary Book" - A 64 page hard cover from the Japanese CE "Vital Volcanic" box that details the development and design of SFV including costume ideas, abandoned concepts & stages, interviews, character and relationship bios and more.
I just scanned a few pages with duckroll's permission in hopes that some kind gaffers would translate some of the pages if there's any cool or relevant info to be had. If not, well at least its something cool to look that. lol
- Character Relationship Chart
- Image Board with early concepts and stage expansion
- Information on The DOLLS and an interview with Kiki, one of the main SFV illustrators
- Early Concepts and Prototypes including Ryu's "Satsui No Hado" scarred look and Psycho Powered Dictator?
- Costume Designs
- Part of an interview with Koichi Sugiyama (Producer) Takayuki Nakayama (Director) with a early prototype screen and the last page being...a compatibility chart? Seems to have artwork possibly of Goutetsu, who is Gouken and Akuma's master
- Karin's section contains her gardener Kozuki, her housekeeper Ishizaki, and her butler Shibasaki.
- Karin is Birdie's "employer" and he is her "associate".
- Birdie was once a part of Shadaloo and former subordinate of Fang
- Shadaloo contain's Bison, Fang, Vega, Balrog, Dolls, and Ed.
- Balrog hates both Vega and Fang
- Fang greatly respects Bison
- Dolls are Bison's subordinates
- Cammy wants to save the Dolls
- Delta Red members are listed next to Cammy (Keith Wolfman, Lita Luwanda, Matthew McCoy, George Ginzu)
- The yellow box below Chun is labeled Air Force.
- The names listed are Guile, Sawada (SF:TM?), David, and Tailor (Guile is Tailor's boss).
- They were former colleagues of Nash.
- Guile is related to the Masters Family (Ken).
- M.Bison killed Nash.
- M Bison killed Chun father? (it's asking the question)
- Juri is under M.Bison and she hates him
- Helen is under Nash with a question asking "revive?"
- Below the yellow box are the names C.Viper and S. Raven with the group of Rashid, Cammy, Chun, and Nash being labeled as Anti Shadaloo.
- Below Rashid is Azam, he views him like a grandfather.
- Azam worries about Rashid.
- Azam is an old friend of Zangief, he's also acquainted with Laura's Grandfather Kinjiro Matsuda.
- CWA members are Zalazof and Colt (Biff and Gunloc from Slammasters).
- IJWPW (International Japanese Women's Pro Wrestling) members are Yamato Nadeshiko, and Yoko Harmegeddon.
- Mika looks up to Gief.
- Gief is acquainted with Laura.
- THawk and Hugo are listed in the box with Mika Gief and Laura.
- This box is labeled "Throwing Friends" (Wrestling Buddies).
- Matsuda's have their own box.
- Laura is Sean's unbelievably scary sister.
- Sean is Laura's adorable brother.
- Family members are Kinjiro, Yuichiro, Brenda, and Fabio (Sean's and Laura's other brother)
- Masters Family contain's Ken, Eliza, and Mel
- Ken trained with Ryu under Gouken
- Gouken trained with Gouki and under Goutetsu (轟鉄 canon kanji spelling "Roaring Iron")
- Gouki kills Goutetsu
- Necalli has a question asking "Searching for strong warriors?" (I'm not sure if this is right)
- Names listed to the left of Necalli are; Fei Long (cinematography), Dee Jay (recording), and Blanka (filial piety "loyal to his mom")
- Dhalsim's section is listed "Curry Lovers"
- Oro is acquainted with Sim
- Sally is Sim's wife, and Datta is his son
- The police officers name is Mahesh
- Kodaru is listed next to Dhalsim's name. I'm not sure who that is (his elephant maybe?)
- Karin is searching for Oro to fight
- Karin is friends with Sakura, Ibuki, and Elena
- Dan thinks Sakura is his student
- Dan hates Sagat because he killed his father
- E.Honda and Hakan are listed below Dan in a yellow box marked "Looking for new disciples & A Gourmet Journey"
- Sakura looks up to Ryu
- Sagat is Ryu's rival and former member of the Four Kings
- Adon is Sagat's former student and he hates him
- Ryu respects Dhalsim
This depiction of Ryu would have overcome being Evil Ryu and SnH, while Bison is wearing a power suit to strengthen his weakening body and amplify his Psycho Power.
- The old guy in the top left is some sort of scientist that is described as giving "psychological damage", but developers didn't think this would be viable in a fighting game.
- The boy with a soccer ball in the top right was the original concept of the new Brazilian character, but they thought the design of a soccer playing fighter was something too close to Robert Miura from Rival Schools.
- The blonde guy in the white suit is labeled "The President" of a certain country.
- The "Yeti" was an early phase for Necalli.
Seems like the scientist and other characters in the bottom right who are described as "assassins" likely made up to be what is now F.A.N.G.

Do those buttons really make such a difference? I just got a HRAP4 myself. It's my first stick and have yet to try it out, but what makes some buttons better then others?turns out my HRAP4 from GS doesn't have the new Hayabusa buttons and that bums me out cuz I canceled my Amazon preorder and it turns out they have the new buttons now. Guess I'll reorder with them for fighters and just keep the OG HRAP4 for my PC shmups. GS return policy kinda blows.

Just get some sanwa buttons. They are pretty cheap and I switched mine out in 5 minutes.
Well I found the rage quitters, it's getting really bad for me in Super Silver. Just had a Mika named _Thanos_ rage quit on me twice in the last hour or so and half my wins have disappeared into the ether. I need to start recording videos so I can do proper callouts.
I hope whatever plan Capcom has for rage quitters works retroactively. Wanna see people with exceptionally high DC rates get dropped back down to rookie. But I don't trust Capcom enough to even have the ability to check that.
are you on PS4? click the Share button and Save video Clip. it should save the past 15 min automatically.
But yeah, jokes aside LUCKY n WILD definitely ragequit on me. He stopped touching his buttons when it was clear I was gonna win then disconnected.
Yoooo lolBut yeah, jokes aside LUCKY n WILD definitely ragequit on me. He stopped touching his buttons when it was clear I was gonna win then disconnected.
More like Capcom don't make a broken ass online lol. If I've RQed 5 times I've had it happen to me at least 50+ times. Idgaf because it was just for the sake of getting the dumb silver trophy and to be done with playing Bison.
I'm back to getting bodied by people as my Vega and rightfully so.
A) Didn't deny it B) Not continuing it. Caught or not. I had no intentions to keep doing it.
Not getting back to Silver rank because of 2-3 rage quitters makes me seriously so salty. Once I get back to Silver fuck this game online until Capcom deals with this bullshit.

Ran in to LUCKY n WILD in ranked. GGs, but I guess the connection was lost near the end?
