Thank you Capcom for putting me up against a silver Chun-Li. Goodbye 6 win streak.

Does anyone have any good resources on Vega?
I've always liked his character but I've never liked his charge based gameplay outside of Chun-Li, Guile and Oro, so I'm interested in trying him out on this.
Also, I was using Mika's mic promo.against Ryu's Hadokens the other day, and I'm sure I absorbed one then threw my mic to cancel the second one. Is that possible, or did it just not reach me/did it hit me and I just didn't realise?
Mika has armor for one hit during the V-skill and since the mic is considered a "projectile" of sorts, it can hit your enemy and if timed right, hit projectiles too.

It's pretty embarrassing how much thought Capcom didn't put into their online infrastructure.
It's weird how frivolously we use the words "incompetence" and "embarassing" without understanding the engineering, infrastructure, vendor coordination and project management involved in global cross-platform services of this nature. It's about the level of incompetence you'd expect from Capcom to be honest.
Doesn't make the fact any better though :-/.

Then the people involved in those projects can call Capcom's effort embarassing or incompetent. We don't know jacksquat.Others do it a lot better, so yes, we can talk about exactly that.

This is like saying that I can't say judge when milk is spoiled because I can't make milk myself. Then the people involved in those projects can call Capcom's effort embarassing or incompetent. We don't know jacksquat.
Why are you angry? Capcom just wanted to see if you're worth of getting into silver.
Throwing the game up for sale tomorrow, I really tried gaf. I put 6 hours into the game and I have 0 LP I must be the worst street fighter of all time.
What? Of course we know. We have the product in our hands after all.
Then say the product stinks dooky doo from a consumer perspective. This is like saying that I can't say judge when milk is spoiled because I can't make milk myself.

Calling the producers incompetent takes peer knowhow.
Yes it really does.No it really doesn't.
No it really doesn't. It's not like we are calling out specific people or anything. If you release a product like this then yes, there is incompetence happening on some level. We aren't even talking about on which level though.
Yes it really does.
I fought this zangief 6 times in a row, and won all those times. I'm glad he was a good sport and didn't RQ.

I just played a ~3300LP Chun-Li twice. Beat her twice, she rage quit on the second win, and now I've had to close the game twice because she's the only person ranked will match me with. I'm not going to waste my time with a scenario that only ends with negatives for me.
What are you taking about, man? If only they'd get off their lazy asses and press the "fix network" button (the way ASW/Namco/Company I Like did) none of this would be happening! It's weird how frivolously we use the words "incompetence" and "embarassing" without understanding the engineering, infrastructure, vendor coordination and project management involved in global cross-platform services of this nature.
I have to agree with Renekton on this one. Calling them incompetent is implying that we have knowledge on what went wrong and where when we simply don't.
Saying that they messed up, is much clearer since they genuinely did mess up.
We have the product at hand.
We know lobbies don't work properly. There are crystal clear technical problems going on here.
We know stages lag in this game.
We know matchmaking isn't working properly for certain countries, they even admitted that much.
We know ping estimates are garbage and not working properly.
We know they straight forgot or didn't care about punishment for ragequitters.
All those things are signs of incompetence of various levels in development.

They tend to rq more if you're significantly lower LP then they are. I went up against a player with a 1k points difference and lost close to a 100 points on that match.
No it's doesn't. Just like knowing when milk is spoiled doesn't require knowing how to make milk. Then say the product stinks dooky doo from a consumer perspective.

Capcom should just reset the league points for everyone when they finally implement serious ragequit penalties. The whole damned basket of apples is rotten at this point lol.

A lot of rage quitters I've come across are fucking free. Just make a disconnect like a win/loss and the problem should balance itself out.
So i won against this guy who was so salty and started sending me angry messages and calling me bad words((((((((
To cut them a little slack, those could instead be yet more signs that management kicked the game out of the door prematurely.
Some one said a game had a system where you would lose more points if you disconnected as compared to a loss. Something like that would just be wonderful here.
Can't recall which (Might have been sf4? I haven't played it online so I can't say)

Person who doesn't DC shouldn't get a win for doing nothing. As somebody who thinks the majority of the online infrastructure is poorly designed I'd say that some of those problems would be incredibly hard to to test outside of release. The frame drops in stages and lack of punishment for quitter (I don't get why devs seem to be opposed to giving the quitter a loss and the the person who doesn't DC a win, it's not fucking rocket science) are the points I'd agree on.
I just realized I don't have the pre-order costume DLC from PSN. How do I find this?

The worst are those good ones that hand you an L, but refuse to take it back later. I had that happen to me with a Dhalsim player that beat me in the first match and ragequit when I shoved Karin's boot up Sim's butt for a near perfect in the first round of a second match. Nothing worse than that right there.A lot of rage quitters I've come across are fucking free. Just make a disconnect like a win/loss and the problem should balance itself out.
