Clinton pulling away with the populous MA counties.

She's winning it.

So at best Bernie could win 4 states tonight: VT, OK, MN and CO. Which would mean his campaign is on life support but sustainable, and could be revived by some of the upcoming whiter states.

Just depends if the young college kids turn up to caucus or not.

Anecdotal evidence here, but it didn't really seem like there were a ton of Democratic caucus goers at the site I went to (on University of Minnesota campus). For fun we walked over to the Republican one and holy fuck the line extended for a long distance out of the building. I don't even know how they'll get all those votes on time.

Can we claim Oklahoma as part of the South so I can point to this Sanders win the next time a bunch of obnoxious college yanks talk about how the South needs to be nuked from orbit?

No? Oh well, I tried.

But yeah, this win to me means Oklahoma is probably more white than I realized.

A little clarification...

Roomie supports Trump. I do not, and while I didn't want to hinder on any free speech, I also don't want people to think everyone in the house subscribed to the same political leaning. Not yet having chosen a candidate of my own, I compromised.

I think that's still a bit optimistic. As I said earlier tonight:

1 state for Bernie, he's done tonight.

2 or 3, he's probably done on the 15th.

4 or 5, the race is definitely going into April.

Bernie would be in better shape if he won one state and had single digit losses in the south.

Not sure why everyone is focusing on the number of states won.

I'm not a fan of TYT but is there a YT channel out there that puts out videos dailty at the speed of TYT and live streams? I'd really like to know.

Delegates as of right now:
Clinton: 405 (+314)
Sanders: 187 (+122)

Donald "I have a great relationship with the blacks" Trump: 182 (+100)
Rubio: 28 (+12)
Cruz: 22 (+5)

Would cruz winning Oklahoma push him above rubio? Nevermind texas will probably make cruz have a 50+ delegate gap against rubio.

While I don't ultimately disagree with they're saying on TYT, it's not a good look and doesn't do very good to attempt to try to unite the party.

Unfortunate.

I liked Hillary's speech. Honestly Bernie's speeches are kind of getting stale at this point. Feeling good about the eventual Hillary win even as a Bernie supporter.

Rubio is gonna make his stand in Florida. His speech confirms it for sure. What a joke. As Megan Kelly from Fox says, at some point you have to start winning. It's too late, Rubio. Your path to victory is almost shut off after tonight.

The Republican Establishment will have to decide to either support Trump, who is a disaster, or Cruz, who they loathe. It's delicious in it's own way.

I find its not this but that minorities are too busy with their lives to dedicate the time to research a completely unknown person. Instead they will vote with what they know, and that is Hillary.

Clinton is actively meeting with minority leaders. Just see the work she did in South Carolina.

Obviously that would technically be better. But winning 4 states in one night is also impressive. Perception is reality.

yeh, i cant take the whining anymore..

Same. I have been dreading today for a while now. Logically, they knew Clinton was going to win, they even said so at the very beginning.

They bought in waaaay too much into Bernie hype.

I mean, Bernie is my man as well, but I never lost sight of the fact that his job was to force Clinton left.

He has done and is continuing to do a splendid job.

Again, winning the majority of the states on Super Tuesday has lead to that person going on to win the nomination in something like the last 12 instances where that happened.

+300 - 350 is what we're looking for from Trump. That would keep him on line to win the nomination outright (though a brokered convention sounds enticing).

SE Cupp not looking happy on CNN.

She knows how this movie ends. There's no elegant, clean way out of this process for the GOP. They either nominate an unelectable madman, or they steal the nomination from him, splintering the party. Either scenario carries a very real risk of losing the Senate, the White House, the whole judiciary, maybe even the House.

The GOP is entering nightmare territory. And she knows it.

The midwest/tornado belt is white as hell (and hugely segregated), isn't it?

Are the GOP seriously considering nuking their presidential nominee if it's Trump? Could you imagine a convention where Rubio is crowned the nominee despite Trump winning the most votes?

We'd have a Democratic president for the next few decades.

Yup.

She is a lot of things, but she is not stupid.

This does not end well for the GoP.
