I see what you're saying.

I hope there is some sort of enemy in Civil War and it's not just the good guys fighting each other. Some complicated organizational enemy ala Winter Soldier would be ideal.

Baron Zemo is in the movie, too. Probably manipulating everything from behind the scenes.

Did you read the Secret Wars SM books? Apparently Marvel believes that even a few months without Spider-Man causes New York to descend into chaos. In Reign it was decades since he'd worn the mask.

I'm not sure if I've read those, haven't they done Secret Wars a couple times now? I'm not even sure which one you're talking about D:

But yes that's another problem I have with the story of Reign. How is it that it all falls on Spidey to keep order and without him everything goes to shit. What about the hundreds of other super heroes in the world. It acts as if Spider-Man is the only super hero that ever did or ever will exist.

God dammit it's so bad.

I have to say I don't like the CGI suite, looks like a 70's one, and the animated eye's looks like something from the Sci-Fi channel's animation dept.

What was wrong with the fixed eyes, those made sense in live action "real" world setting.
Looks like plastic, hopefully they improve it by release.

The voice seems like it'll take a little getting used to, but as long as we get quippy Spidey I'm good.

Plus if they stick with Holland through the next decade or so as Spidey, seeing him get older and as a result Spidey getting older too, it would be kind of cool to see that evolution.

We have had a Spiderman in his 20's and another in his 30's. It's about time we got an actual teenager.

You should check it out. It's called Renew Your Vows and was really well done.

They wont show a new super power in a Captain America movie. It'll be in his solo film.

I'm more bummed that he's going to be the kid sidekick to the Avengers movies, instead of a street-level contemporary to Daredevil and company like he should be. The voice is on-point for early Spider-Man.

Holy shit I just noticed he has speedlines.

YOOO FUCK

That's cool as shit

The Spidey suit looks like the classic look of Spider-Man, got me off guard for how it looks like that. Also the expressive of the face felt a bit off, I prefered the way Deadpool did it, being a bit more subtle.

Definitely with you.

Don't want to see some little kid. Tobey Maguire sucked as it is, and it was difficult seeing Andrew Garfield trying to play a teenager. Just make him a man, and get on with his life already. It's like we're stuck in this horrible phase of his life and just can't escape it.

Spider-Man's movement is actually mechanical in the suit, Deadpool's mask moved just because it did, there was no physical reason for it, simply that the movie was more cartoonish.

I can appreciate that Scarlet Witch is a fucking badass in the comics and based on that COULD destroy everyone. But none of that really matters. Let's just think about this.

It's not "Scarlet Witch will just destroy everyone on Starks team." There is no chance that happens, none. She is a brand new character and not really popular (yet) they aren't just going to have Caps team cower behind her while she takes down everyone. They will nerf/buff people until it is close to 1-1 for both teams because the average person watching this movie wants to be entertained and doesn't give a SHIT about comic book power levels.

Furthermore. If you think the 'best' fighter for either team will be anything more than Cap and Tony you're kidding yourself.

Why is this a Captain America movie instead of an Avengers movie?

Because Bucky pays a huge role in this and is probably the defining reason (besides caps steadfast moral ground) why there is a rift with iron man. I think this movie will have better emotional resonance than the avengers could muster.

Some tech to switch off superheroes ability is being developed there maybe? Would surely explain how they can neutered Scarlet Witch's power. Cap naturally want to destroy it and Tony won't be happy about it.

They didn't neuter Scarlet Witch's powers, she's just a rookie still discovering them. She wasn't able to fly in Avengers 2, now she can boost herself into the air, if not actually fly. She will probably be able to fly by Infinity War.
