I love that gif.

yeah no doubt. there's a night and day difference between how this trailer looks and suicide squad for example (I would say batman v superman's daytime scenes too). visually they are so much more appealing.

the lighting in these civil war trailers looks extremely flat. still i'm definitely looking forward to this. especially after seeing the directors handle captain america/widow in the last film. the stuff they'll do with spiderman and black panther should be tight.

That's one of the areas that Marvel kind of drops the ball sometimes. Winter Soldier was a great film but it has some really bland backdrops for most of the movie. Civil War seems to continue that trend.

I'm hyped for this movie, but it seems Tony and Capt should be swapped really. Why is the soldier being a rebel and Tony Stark being a pro govt rules guy.

Spider man looks great.
Because it's a way more dramatic image for Captain America, the moral leader of the Avengers, bring the one to stand against the government and saying "this is wrong." Just because he wears that costume doesn't mean he's just spouting jingoistic rhetoric.

"I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from."

I just saw a trailer breakdown that paused to show how many casualties were reported at each of the incidents the Avengers were being lectured about by Gen Ross.

New York: 74

Washington DC: 23

Sokovia: 177

That's really, really, ridiculously low. I'd maybe buy it for DC because the Helecarriers were heavily automated and went down over water but the New York number is just baffling.

I know this falls under the general problem of writers having no sense of scale but you have a full scale invasion of one of the most populated cities on Earth and less than a hundred people died? Why is anyone complaining about the Avengers? It is mind boggling that anyone would be giving them any shit if they managed to keep the casualty rate in double digits.

Less than 300 vs...

Cap is always right.

Oh i agree. But it still seems miles a head of BvS and SS in that regard.

"Hey everyone"

what

is that the best this Spidey can do?
He is an unknown (to them), a kid and the reveal was clearly aimed at the frustration of fans wanting to see spiderman.

Tony - that's it, I'm tired of waiting...
Spiderman - hey everyone

Best way to reveal, show him at the very last minute and have fans dying for more.

Nailed it, absolutely nailed it. The movie looks fucking fantastic. This is why Marvel are top of their game when it comes to comic book movies.

Black Panther looks like a god damn beast, that boy can move. Ant-Man + Hawk Eye arrow combo, Wanda bringing Vision to his knees, Cap, Bucky and Tony fighting and they are not holding back.

Oh and classic look Spider-Man, holy shit, they are going all out. I mean, they haven't even shown us a real look at the bad guys either, not that they really need to at this point.

Take my money, take it now Marvel.

I thought that was one of the strengths of Winter Soldier. The action was taking place in "normal" locations, which added a sense of immediacy and danger to them. Shit was going down on normal city streets and highways, with regular people around. It made it feel like it was happening in the real world. Clearly inspired by stuff like the shootout in Heat.

I wonder how happy Marvel are to finally have the gang mostly back together. Please just have Deadpool appear at some point and poke fun at Spidey because that would just be amazing.

nope not talking about the backdrops.

winter soldier looked better than this does too (cinematography-wise). it's that airport scene thats throwing it all off. the rest of the trailer looks fine but that scene is just absurdly bright. bad lighting making everybody look almost cg-like. even the humans.

it's probably a reason why some people are thinking that spiderman looks off too. put him in any other scene in that trailer and he would prolly look better.
