Captain America: Civil War - Final Trailer

I wonder if the problem is that all the voices for Spidey have been adults.

Now we actually get a teen playing a teen Spidey

Guess what? This is what a teenage superhero sounds like.

You can't sell the kid hero-adult hero dynamic Spiderman has with the Marvel universe at large more accurately than that

At least he sounds manlier than Kick-Ass!

I hope the Underoos line is a trailer only thing. And is nobody else bothered by the fact that it appears Tony has Spidey waiting in the shadows for the "BIG REVEAL"? Like Spidey is Tony's lap dog. I hope it's just the trailer and Spidey is acting on his own accord.

It looks edited to death.

I'm gonna guess Tony yells "underoos" a few times and Spidey misses the first couple of ques lol. And then comes in and is like, "my bad brah." But I don't mind it, we know very little about his role here.

Also, I'm guessing Panthers notice has to do with that building getting wrecked. It shows him in a business suit crawling through rubble.

Well, traditionally Spiderman is poor, and Tony Stark has what he wants most -- money. :P

There's a website that tried to explain it scientifically but I couldn't understand it.

Basically it absorbs impacts, so while it can stop Thor's hammer while swinging it..if Thor just walked up to the shield while it was on the ground and put Mjolnir on top of it, I don't think Cap could lift it.

If you want to get more confused by the metals there's 2 types of Vibranium, the one Cap has (Wakandan) and Antarctic(Savage Land) Vibranium..I think the antarctic stuff redirects the impacts and if it was caused by something metal, dissolves it..Vagually recall there being another one in an issue of Spider-Man a couple of years ago that almost killed a bunch of scientists because they fucked up.

That would be kinda cool, although you'd think that Tony would have learnt to stop meddling in this kind of shit by now.

Also, isn't clone Thor the horse-faced thing? Surely they would change that for the MCU.

Thor's clone was Ragnarok (I think he actually came in during Civil War), Beta Ray Bill (Horse guy) I think is just an alien..

Definitely looking forward to seeing Black Panther in action more than anything else. Never read a comic with him ( only recently started reading anything beyond a bit of spider-man and x-men more than a decade ago ), but the dude just looks bad as fuck, than run speed and car vault, jeebus.

There's also the question of how the scene actually plays out. He nabs Cap's shield during a portion of the movie that seems to be the airport battle but Cap is never seen in the trailer without it, so in the context of the movie this seems like a throwaway inclusion.

I think the problem is that his only line makes him sound like he's massively depressed. Spiderman is not Eyore. Pep it up a bit, kid.

I like the way Black Panther looks and he is far more exciting than Spiderman to me (i have seen him enough and the suit and eyes are really bad). I'm really turned off by many things in this movie; cinematography, style, and that charge looks so bad and makes zero sense. They couldn't have picked a more boring environment, a fucking slab of concrete at an airport? Where the fuck is any imagination or fun at all? It just looks like another generic and forgettable Marvel movie that I'll see once and never think about again.

3,000 posts talking about CGI Spidey's eyes.

I was surprised that he showed up in the trailer though. They have been so quiet about him and then there he is. TWS is my favorite MCU film, so I'm excited for this one as well.

Holy shit I just noticed he has speedlines.

Sorry guys, those are not speedlines, that's just the lens flare from the headlights.

Why would they move towards the enemy though? They have ranged weapons, like Hawkeye.

Maybe because the farther you are the more likely they are to dodge your projectiles, therefore you are wasting ammo? I mean they are Avengers so I expect them to be able to do that much atleast.

I think the tone was less depressed, more sheepish

Think of it from his perspective. Teenage kid who grew up seeing these heroes, just stole Captain America's shield after he was called in by Iron Man

It's like a "Damn, this is actually happening. They're all looking at me. I really should say something" kind of response

You kinda have to wonder why Hawkeye would run towards the conflict for any reason whatsoever.

I remember the first stuff shown from the airport scene being lighter in tone and people worrying about if civil war will even have meaningful stakes because of it.

Now I'm usually more a lean back and enjoy guy because no matter what any explanation is going to grasp for speculative straws that can be varying degrees of plausible.

But going to throw this in anyway, maybe it's because at that point in the movie they're all reluctant to go for lethal force yet. So the fight turns out to be more brawly less bullets and killing lasers.

Well they aren't fighting enemies like hydra, but friends and colleagues, so it's natural that they hesitate and don't go all out at least at first.

Love, love, love the trailer <3

But do we know how they're going to introduce Spiderman? Just tossing him, because "everybody knows who he is"? I'd like to some focus put on him, because ... he's Spiderman.

I think I've heard somewhere that Captain America will got his chain mail costume, is that confirmed? if it's true, than none of the footage we've seen is from the final action scene. that'd be cool.

An interesting point someone brought up way earlier in the thread about it looking as though someone other than Bucky shoots Rhodey.

Maybe Zemo, Crossbones, Hyrda et al are operating in such a way that it makes it look to Team Cap and Team Iron Man that the other is attacking them.

Say for instance using the above example, Tony sees a shot take WM down as they're leaving the airport, assumes it was Team Cap and goes on the offensive. The shot where Bucky tries to assassinate Tony is a clone (like people have been speculating in that tube thing) and not the real guy. Cap thinks the soldiers hunting Bucky are part of Team Iron Man when they're not and so on. Ross could (is likely) involved in the shenanigans also encouraging Tony to go further and further.

It gives both teams valid motivations to want to fight against the other without it (figuratively) assassinating their characters (they're just being manipulated) and allows for a big reveal of the true villains in the 3rd act.
