yes,

run

fuck get away now media blackout drop the blast doors

I literally started texting this to my brother earlier and stopped halfway through because, "Nope, he'll enjoy the movie more if he doesn't see it."

I did make a comment earlier about it seeming to be in the airport terminal and a Vision blast is what takes Rhodes out :P

I guess it makes sense that Wanda could handle the Mind Stone.

Have you seen the previous trailers? It's really just more footage from those scenes. There are a couple new super quick action shots, but still nothing on the villains or how a lot of the supporting characters fit onto each side. Heck we still don't even hear Panther speak.

The hype was too much! I couldn't help myself and now I'm super excited for this.

But his costume has to squint too? Not that I have a issue with it. Deadpool did it with his eyes too and I thought it ended up working great.

It can probably serve a couple of purposes: 1) make him more expressive, which was shown to be very effective outside comics a la Deadpool, and 2) utilitarian in that he doesn't need to lug around a separate camera, considering that was his hobby and job in the comics.

How did Spider-Man managed to lift Cap's shield?

It's not that heavy.

Deadpool's eye movement worked for that movie...it was cartoony, animated, and had no real explanation. Just, 'when he puts the mask on, it suddenly becomes animated!" and that really does work for Deadpool.

This works much better in the already established rules of the MCU. It could just be that Peter used his knowledge of camera apertures to make eyes that respond to general facial movements purely because it looks cool. Something very much a 15 year old kid would do.

From a functional perspective, it could also help him deal with different levels of brightness.

You kinda have to wonder why Hawkeye would run towards the conflict for any reason whatsoever.

Same reason Tony, Rhodes, Vision and Wanda do. Because it looks cool.

On rewatch, I noticed how BP took down Bucky's bike with a very feral move, panther-like. Awesome.

I don't think he'll die. Doubt Marvel would let one hero kill another.

On the other hand, I don't think it'll necessarily be Bucky shooting him. The trailer is edited to indicate it's Bucky making the shot, but it's cheating.

I'm #TeamIronMan, but Ant Man and Wanda could end this bitch slap in 3 seconds by themselves. They are fucking broken.

I think Wanda's power is still very much growing and she's not going to be significantly beyond anyone here. However, I'm not particularly familiar with Ant-Man - what powers does he have which are so extraordinary? From his movie he was cool but I didn't see anything which will put him on a level with Iron Man, let alone someone like Vision.

He can shrink, jump inside your body and grow big again.

Cool to see more Black Panther. And Antman riding the arrow is awesome. Spiderman's suit looks pretty good but the eyes look horrible. I love that they move but they just look so bad....

funny thing is the shield supposed to be lightweight

It's heavy enough that not just anybody can wield it. There was a scene post Cap's death where someone (I think Iron Man) was trying to convince Hawkeye to take up the shield, and he remarked that other people kept breaking their arms trying to throw it and catch it because it takes a certain degree of skill and physical ability.

There's a website that tried to explain it scientifically but I couldn't understand it.

It's the material. The shield is made of vibranium, a fictional metal that is virtually indestructible and really light. It can absorb kinetic energy and as a result, the vibranium gets tougher the more energy it absorbs. It's more malleable than adamantium, another fictional metal that makes up the skeleton coating of Wolverine.

so basically vibranium is water.

hey comic guys fill me in. How does Thor handle this Civil war type thing?

You petty Humans and your Wars.

It negates kinetic energy.

Which is why Steve can use it to block mjolnir, rpg rounds and use it to safely land huge falls

Did they explain this in the the first Cab movie?

He's not around.

Then Tony makes a clone.

That scene in the trailer with the person in the tank - I bet Clone Thor is in it. Why? Because Loki stabbed Thor with a dagger and he left it with his blood on Stark's balcony on Avengers Tower. Tony used it to clone Thor.

Whedon knew.

That would be kinda cool, although you'd think that Tony would have learnt to stop meddling in this kind of shit by now.

Also, isn't clone Thor the horse-faced thing? Surely they would change that for the MCU.

First, at this year's beginning, I thought that BvsS would be the biggest superhero movie (spectators/money) but the trailers have been a little like a rollercoaster, some good, some bad... but the film still looked solid for the fans.

Meanwhile, Civil War it was a real contender, Ironman and Captain are always a good point for selling a movie, and the aditions like Black Panther and Ant-Man (after the fantastic movie) sure will move people... but now, after this trailer... after this 5 seconds of Spiderman, this is going to be really huge.

I'm so hyped right now, that even I've dreamed with spiderman tonight!!

Imagine the levels of hype if the Strange trailer shows Dormammu.

If the shield negates kinetic energy then how can it bounce around so well

Elementary comic book physics. It amplifies it's own kinetic energy upon impact, but nullifies other objects' momentum.

No, you're thinking of Beta Ray Bill. He's one of the few Marvel characters who can legit wield Thor's hammer.

Thor's clone is named Ragnarok, and Reed Richards helped Tony Stark clone him during Civil War because Thor was missing. Ragnarok killed Goliath, which legit shook everyone and pissed Thor off when he returned.
