This trailer while increasing my excitement for Civil War, also made me ever more eager to see what DC has to offer now.

I'm still most excited for Doctor Strange. But.....the excitement levels for both BVS and Civil War are palpable now.

I think the problem people are having (and I understand it) is that there's a disconnect between the voice and the manly looking character we're seeing on screen. He looks somewhat big and buff for having such a childish voice.

15-16 year old boy looks manly.

I bet next to Cap and the rest of the gang he's a lot smaller. Holland is a small dude, he looks smaller than Garfield there lol.

And the voice? Are you serious? Lol. Mike Tyson is fucking huge, and he has a high pitched voice. Size (as long as vocal cords aren't effected), strength, age has nothing to do with a person's unique voice. Or are you judging his acting skills on a line with 2 words? I'd like for those of you who didn't like the way he delivered his line, to record yourself saying the line the way you think he should have. Then upload it and post it here

In terms of raw power, Cap and Tony are quickly being left behind by new players like Scarlet Witch, Vision, soon to be Dr. Strange. It's likely Spider-Man also outclasses both in terms of ability, and based on the trailers Black Panther might hold his own against both. I'd even argue Ant-Man has more potential than either (especially if he goes Giant Man).

Leadership, on the other hand, is the question. Without either of these two, who leads the Avengers? My bet is we see a very directionless Avengers at the start of Infinity War.

Sure, but I don't think Marvel could started with a truly "dark" Iron Man. They could have taken the character there over a few movies in a well written story arc, but I don't think it would have worked to start the character in that place

Winter Solider needs to be the new standard.
Guardians and Ant-Man are fun but Winter Solider was by far and away the best Marvel movie so far in my opinion. Can't wait to see whether Civil War manages to be better.

I think Winter Soldier is a good standard for when they want to go "serious" and Ant-Man is a good standard for more "fun" stuff.

I'd say you don't need to wach any in order to follow the movie. Marvel has been doing a banging job in keeping the movies self-contained in that sense.
You might want to watch Winter Soldier, it's a great movie, the best Earth-based MCU film IMHO.

MCU Spiderman really isn't that bulky, I think the camera angle give it the impression that he's bulkier than he is

Winter Soldier at the very least, since this is essentially a direct sequel to that. And maybe Captain America: The First Avenger since that ties into Winter Soldier, and by extension this. Then maybe the two Avengers movies, since the events from those seem to play into the plot of this in some way.

If you want to do that chronologically it would be Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

But Winter Soldier is probably the only must watch.

I don't know if this means anything, but the Q&A done yesterday had RDJ say only recently was he being pitched ideas about Infinity War, which implies Tony would be involved. Or maybe not.

The bare minimum would be the two Captain America movies and the two Avengers movies since those establish all of the primary characters, and the two Avengers movies really set up the Tony/Cap rivalry.

Blu-Ray's always tend to be expensive. If you have Netflix and the right region, I'm pretty sure both the first two Cap movies are available.

IronMan 1 isn't really needed, everything you need to know about Ironman and Captain America relationship is available in Avengers movie. Ironman origin didn't have anything to do with Captain America at all. so you can safely skip Ironman 1.

That sounds off, are they the 3D versions? If so, you can skip them both on 3D Blu ray, they are better in 2D.

I could actually believe the Washington and Sokovia numbers being that low considering the Washington incident was over before it really got out of hand (and they might not include Hydra agent deaths in that number). The big thing in the third act of Avengers 2 was the Avengers getting as many people out of there as possible before the big confrontation with Ultron.

New York however, no way the numbers were that low. That situation got way too out of control.

He's a bit bulkier than Ultimate Spidey.

He basically looks exactly like this....but.....I really wish he didn't have the black stripes on the arms and legs. I love everything else, but I hate those stripes.
