Have any of you bought your tickets yet? I bought opening day tickets for the 4:30 PM showing at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square theater.

Hoping this is the first good movie from Marvel studios since the original Iron Man, Spiderman is a very good start.

Also why does Hulk not have any original movies at all since the one with the American X guy? I would love to see a film with just the Hulk again, he's the best character out.

MARVEL, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE DOING!

Get out of here with that first good movie nonsense. Avengers, Guardians and Cap 2 were amazing.

Replace avengers with Iron Man 3 and id agree. Wouldn't say any are amazing but they're pretty damn entertaining

Gotta say this is the first year ever that I've been looking forward to multiple comic book stuff

Between batman/superman, suicide squad (I really like how different dc is approaching this with an already established bat verse as opposed to the marvel route. Hope it works out for them), daredevil season 2, civil war and xmen Im pretty pumped for them all

Only one that I have a lot of doubt about this year is doctor strange. And that's like 1/7 so damn.....

I actually liked the civil war story in the comics... it legit made me feel weird for siding with cap when i love iron-man so much... i think the same will happen with the movie... i love iron man, but god tony became such a dick during registration.

I'd so easily be on team Cap but Spider-man being on team Stark is really throwing me off.

I'm with you here. I'm also playing catch up on the CW superhero shows like Flash and Arrow, which are also really good. I hope all these things turn out great. I'm also skeptical about Doctor Strange, I can't believe they picked Scott Derrickson to direct it but I'm giving him a chance.

Because Universal still holds the film distribution rights for any Hulk standalone film. That's why Marvel/Disney is putting Hulk into Thor: Ragnarok.

I thought it was because some of the movies he did sorta bend genre.
Like how Sinister is a murder snuff film but with ghosts or Deliver Us From Evil is a cop/crime action with exorcism.

I guess and I can see that, but I don't think his movies have been very good. Sinister was garbage.

Besides which, it really does seem like Hulk is maybe better suited to be a supporting character in larger stories than trying to hold down his own movie.

Although man, Planet Hulk would be fun.

I like the idea of Planet Hulk arc being set in a Thor movie, with them going the buddy "cop" route.

Why do people here hate this film so much, never got that.

They want to stay mad about a villain nobody cares about being a joke.

Iron Man 2 somehow gets the pass now. Not sure how that worked out.

EDIT: Oh, wait. I misread the post. I enjoyed Iron Man 3 more than Avengers as well.

Most horror movies are a "murder film". That's an extremely loose take on genre bending. You could say most movies are multiple genres at that point lol

They could have picked a better dude from that camp. Even aquaman got James Wan. Derrickson's one of the worst modern ones

Somethings gotta be good about that pitch though to attract all that talent

No, he's better suited for an audience that doesn't demand HULK SMASH every ten minutes or else they forget how to keep their eyes open and think at the same time.

Future Imperfect is what I want.

It's the story that proves yet again that Banner's greatest villain is himself. Fuck off with this Abomination/Red Hulk/Leader shit.

Exactly. People want a smarter superhero movie? Hulk is one of the best choices to produce that. There's more to Hulk than green Hulk and SMASH and explosions.

We already had one film that attempted that. Didn't work for the masses.

Based on how carny Marvel has gotten with their universe, Planet Hulk would be spectacular direction.

Did people really not get that Killian is the Mandarin? He literally says it.

The Mandarin isn't a joke, the theatric facade was.

Agreed.

Found on Twitter. Would support.

Call me when he grows his own personality.

It also turned out that Killian wasn't even the real Mandarin.

That felt like shitty backpedaling that will never be expanded upon due to fan outcry.

I'm guessing you mean by allegiance? From a story perspective I think it makes a lot of sense actually. Iron Man is definitely the face the Avengers, which means Tony Stark is. In the MCU Tony Stark seems to be a household name. I wouldn't be surprised if the setup is that Peter sought out Tony as a high school kid that had powers and wanted to make a difference.

Fuck is Universal waiting for then? Hulk must be more popular now than ever before, bang a film out with the dude alone and I'll be there!

Can someone who's watched this answer two questions?

1. How spoilery is this?
2. What's the quality like? Off screen? SD?

[spoilers]it shows off Spiderman defeating the real threat of the movie, a giant bipedal lizard in a armoured suit (not The Lizard mind you) with his flying car that he summons with his oversized communicator watch[/spoilers]

I'm not sure that Universal can actually make a Hulk movie, just distribute it. So if Marvel just puts the Hulk into one of the movies they 100% have from production through distribution, they reap all the benefit rather than sharing it with Universal.
