Get your generic regurgitated criticisms out of here and learn to think for yourself
He's not really wrong with the muted colors in daylight bit then is he?
It doesn't even look interesting dark. At least Nolan had themes with some substance. This looks like an angsty power fantasy turned up to 11. Even the aesthetic isn't interesting. It's all darkness, rain, shadows, muted colors in daylight.
What's muted? You have vibrant reds contrasting with yellow hues for effect. You have a pretty standard looking daytime scene when Superman is arriving for the hearing, with his suit clearly popping out with color.
Even some of the "darker scenes" have a lot of color vibrancy.

Your post does nothing but prove my point.
Yes it does. Take a class on color theory then come back.
Color theory? Lol. Are you for real right now man?
Well, I mean if you want to use correct terminology and make sure your criticism is accurate before you say something, then yea, I think you should take a color theory class.
It's not about being correct or incorrect, he's been trolling the shit out of every bvs thread since forever. Now I'm just waiting for an avatar quoteEdit: I know I am sounding a little direct, but you are just being flat out incorrect. I don't know what else to tell you.
Yup that will doWe've reached all new levels of fanboyism in this thread.

Wait so I need to read about some shit called color theory before I can comment on the color scheme of a movie? Huh ... We've reached all new levels of fanboyism in this thread.
It has nothing to do with fanboyism. You literally don't know what you are talking about. If you don't want to educate yourself on the terminology you are using incorrectly, you can't be helped, and you just come off as sounding stupid. Sorry.
Sorry dude I have seen enough movies and have been around long enough to to recognize a muted color palette. I don't need to read about color theory to hold the opinion.
I don't think it's particularly out of bounds to suggest they're not marketing the film all that well.
I've posted along those lines myself more than a couple times, and I think no matter what they do in the trailers, they're kinda hemmed in by the fact they gave the film that stupid fucking title, and it pretty much dictates how you sell the goddamn thing. So the movie looks like an angry, rainy fight between two people you're supposed to like.
But I don't think the film looks particularly dark and drab, either. Tonally it seems way more serious than it actually is, but visually it looks really good.
Grim Dark, Too Dark are useless criticisms that make absolutely no sense. It is not a pre-requisite for a comic book movie to be colorful ( not that this does not have color ). This movie visually looks superb, distinct and appropriate for the themes that is going for and more importantly does not look like any of the dime a dozen super hero movies that are released each year. There are plenty of shortcoming Synder has but visuals are not one of them. The guy has an immaculate style.
I have? You are mistaking me for someone else. I rarely even post here.
The problem with Batman V Superman is that it's almost too good.
I really don't understand why based on this trailer, which is just images without any real focus, people all of a sudden think this movie looks good.
Eisenberg looks terrible. Story seems like it's all over the place. Snyder don't have the storytelling chops to pull something like this off.
Still looks stupid but I'll see it anyway because what the fuck eh
Batman action looks nice I guess? Zack Snyder blows

Nah dude. I'll tell you what happened in this thread. I shared a link to an extended trailer for the movie where I said I think based on all that footage that the movie is going to suck and then the dogpile began. I didn't know you had to have positive things to say about this movie before being allowed to post in here.
This song fits that picture pretty well.no culurz fam all darkness

Oh man, Gal's weight
Dark and unfun
We just need like someone to say this will be a trainwreck or looks bloated
And it's like a best of BvS hype thread!
Heh I'm being serious. It just looks so oppressively dark. Where is the fun, the heroism, the excitement?
They may not be doing it in the movies, but they're sure tackling the darker stuff in the Netflix shows. For me, WB/DC should be commended for going a different route than what has proven to be successful right now. It would have been so easy for them to look at Marvels success and go "let's just do what they're doing". Its great that we can have a wide tonal spectrum for these movies. I actually hope that one day Marvel will tackle some darker stuff and DC go for some lighter stuff.

It's a bold title, lacks subtlety, but it's working. "Batman v Superman..." Mostly everyone has an initial knee-jerk wtf reaction, but at some point it's followed by okay... I have to see this. The subtitle is just kinda there though, most won't make sense of it until sometime after the fact.I don't think it's particularly out of bounds to suggest they're not marketing the film all that well.

Probably? No. Definitely? Yes.Oh yea definitely. And theyre probably the best stuff in the MCU.

The whole thing together seems to say exactly what the movie is. Now just days before release, I can't think of a more appropriate title for this movie.
