This never gets old.

LOL

The OP does not make the wait easier. :\

I shouldn't have watched every episode of Daredevil season 2 already. No more binging for me.

What does it mean by the trailers are deceptive? =/

Sort of like Starwars 7 where the trailers makes you think the movie will be one way and it ends up being a bit different. I hope it's more like Pacific Rim though, only having things made for the trailer and no where to be found in the real movie. Making for a lot of surprise and unexpected narrative.

Edit: Some felt like one particular trailer told the whole story and wondered why they should even be excited for the movie since they know everything now.

MoS soured me a bit on this film, to be honest. Not a good way to start your cinematic universe at all (or any series for that matter).

Batman is my favourite superhero, but I dislike Superman, so I'll sit this one out and will watch it with an open mind somewhere later this year. I like Affleck (prefer him directing), but for me it is hard to imagine that he will be a better Bats than Bale in terms of character/acting. Also, I was actively annoyed by Luthor in the trailers, which doesn't help matters as well. I do like Snyder's action though, so that will probably be a major plus. When the characters are actually fighting, Snyder's films usually deliver. And I expect a lot of action.

I am totally in for Suicide Squad, however. That one intruiges me and has an epic cast.

Lol, it's like people here just don't want this movie to be good.

I tell the press that, like, that BvS is the worst movie since Batman & Robin, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan". But when I say that it's actually good, well then everyone loses their minds!

Possibly already posted, but here is a screen cap of some early impressions. Take them as you will:

Pay particular attention to the opinion of Norma Snutsack. She's a dignified and highly respected reviewer. As the old saying goes, "nothing say 'quality' like the name Norma Snutsack."

Can tell this movie is going to be utter garbage.

When people say things like "Best super hero movie in the last 5 years" do they actually take the time to think about what super hero movies have been released in the last 5 years or do they just say it because it's a relatively long period of time?

Based on positive fan reactions? Some people are strange. So what if critical response is positive? Does that mean anything to you? What if the general audience likes it? Anything then?

I just found out that Joker and Riddler almost made it into Batman V Superman.....

I'm glad it didn't happen because the movie seems to be already packed.

Which scenes got you to tear up? :\

The birth
Losing his father
The nightmare a little
and pretty hard at the end with ZOD, I cringed, and got teary eyed. Like I could see how hard that was for him. I felt so bad for Supes.

Basically anytime Superman struggled or was in pain, I was too. We went on the journey of discovery together, and it was rewarding as much as it was painful.

Whats that one song? "You bleed just to know your alive"

When everything feels like the movies, you bleed just to know you're alive.

The thing is, this movie has had the most anti-hype ever. Really.

I've made an internal bet with myself which has had more anti-hype, this movie or Final Fantasy XV, along with which of the two is going to end up more disappointing or surprisingly great.

Technically FFXV isn't out this month, but considering the big Uncovered event, I can't help but pit Batman v Superman and FFXV against each other in regards to fan reaction/criticism.

Has nothing to do with optimism or not.

They just want the whole WB/DC universe to crash and burn.

I don't think there's anyone that really wants that-there might be people that don't like how it's started off though. Who wouldn't want a connected live-action DC Universe?

See with this, I would have cared if Zod had meant something to him. This was the biggest missed opportunity in the film: for Zod to be a third father figure for him and a means to feel wanted by someone for once (contrast to him being picked on by earthlings all his life and told by Kent to endure it for their sake).

That sounds terrible. That's like retconning The Master to be The Doctors sibling.

I think its hard when you are young to understand why you are being asked to endure. But then one day it clicks, and you realize with all our faults, and our incessant need to kill each other, that as a whole, we are good. At the very core, we are good.

I just got goosebumps legit from thinking about that last scene in MOS. Its till resonates with me.

I really dont get and never will get blind optimism, Shinobi. I think many of us hope that it is but are cautiously optimistic after MoS

Man of steel's main criticism was that it was written badly.
This movie is written by someone else (an Oscar winner too).
What basis is there for it to still be compared to Man of Steel in that aspect.

If the director is a problem, Snyder has shown he is a great visual director (no denying this), something that seems to be overlooked by many people nowadays. No director is remarkable in my opinion until they can capture great imagery. People forget movies are a visual medium and a director capable of capturing this aspect should be applauded.
Also, snyder has he shown can churn out classics when given the right written material (see Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead).

I didnt get this at all from that scene. More like he was brought up to do good and be a good force in the world but he was just forced into a position where he had to kill another person. Not only that but one of the few remaining member of his own race.

I still didnt think it was a very good movie though
