Yeah, I never expected anything worthwhile from this. Like, I'm not THAT hard to please when it comes to movies. For example, I thought Jurassic World was decently enjoyable when a lot of other people here were tearing it a new one. But I found Man of Steel to be such a piece of shit through and through, and this film always looked like a bloated mess to me from Day 1.
Can't wait for Redlettermedia's Half in the Bag review though.

Even if I had a huge problem with Superman killing someone in MoS I felt like at least to an extent it was possible to rationalize that as a pivotal storytelling point (even if a misguided one).
But this just seems like Snyder doubling down on complaints and showing a contemptuous disregard to fans.
It's been a while since I read DKR, I remember
him only killing the Joker (which worked in the story), but forgot about any guns. I'm thinking on the tank he uses to fight the mutants?

I haven't cared since the moment they announced this movie by quoting fucking Dark Knight Returns. TDKR is a horrid depiction of the duo but it's also the most popular and defining.

BR, theatrical cut is not that good. Kingdom of heaven theatrical cut no one liked. Both have cuts released later that are glorious.
Much like Snyder, Scott working with a shitty script will get you a bad movie (or do you think Prometheus is a good movie?). But Scott working on something decent will get you a decent flick ( kinda like Snyder & Dawn of the dead).
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Snyder, but that's just because I've only seen Man of Steel of his films. That one's flawed but enjoyable, and I'm expecting the same out of BvS. TBH, I know it's lame to attack the critics, but they've always been hating on Snyder, even on his movies most consider to be of high quality. I'll wait to see it for myself.
