Spectre felt like a fever dream. I'm still not really sure if I watched it or not. The entire thing felt like a 2 hour long Daniel Craig Christian Dior ad.

I didn't think it looked good - I thought it looked like a dour overstuffed movie. But I also didn't think it looked like it was going to get this kind of a beatdown from critics.
Dropping below 40% entered the tragi-comedy level, IMO.

I'll admit, I'm not well versed in Snyder, but IDK. I've always found his good movies well-liked by audiences and critics hating on them for odd reasons. That said, having only seen Man of Steel, I really can't judge. I'll see BvS on Thurs for myself, but I'm not expecting too much. Not really because of the reviews, but because it's always looked kinda meh to me.

Pretty much everyone did until not that long after we saw him in the suit.

The fucked up thing is that I thought the TMNT movie from 2014 was dookie but the sequel has be genuinely intrigued. If I end up thinking a Micheal Bay TMNT is better than a Snyder BvS (and I'm a Snyder fan) I will be thrown for a loop.
I also kept thinking Daredevil is a better Batman than movie Batman while watching Season 2.

Spectre is not a "bad" movie in the sense that there is anything offensive in it that invokes a negative reaction. Rather it is an empty movie which has nothing to say, nothing to show, and in the end, nothing to remember. I know for a fact that Zack Snyder will never make a movie like that, so even if BvS makes me really fucking angry because of the choice of content, the failure to execution, or missed opportunities, I will appreciate that it will at least have made me FEEL something.

But then the trailer 2 (or whatever it was) that featured a lot of dialogue, instead of just flashy Synder-Shots, was universally slated. The scene with Lex introducing Bruce and Clark was woeful, and all the doubts I had about Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex were writ large on the screen.
But it was just a teaser. Batman looking at superman and saying a line. Hard to fuck up
Every trailer since then showed weird as shots of bats and supes that tells me the directors and writers barely know what makes these characters work
Considering the stuff I've seen from ConfessionGAF, this - and I can't believe I'm saying this - may actually be not out of the realm of possibility.

The trailers were terrible. The one where they introduced Wonder Woman was so bad that I expected it to be one of those fake trailers that's really a PSA about turning off your cell phone.
