- gets cast as Batman

- plays Batman alright in a bad movie, but defies the only truly famous Batman rule, missing the character mark

- guy plays Daredevil amazingly in amazing series

- this guy plays Daredevil and respects the rule Batman is famous for, succeding in being more Batman than Batman

- the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started out as a Daredevil parody

what's the meaning of all this? TMNT2 best superhero movie this year

I'm pretty excited for TMNT2, which I still can't believe I'm actually typing.

I'm not reading that review but is it MovieBob?

Not MovieBob. Devin Faraci

With all preconceived notions of how Batman and Superman should be portrayed put aside, I can say with complete certainty that Batman v Superman is not a particularly well made film. It is, in fact, the film that finally drives home to me the reality that Zack Snyder is not particularly great at storytelling. I have spent many years defending Snyder, who I think is a first rate visual stylist (and who conjures up some excellent images in this film), but even I have to put down my sword. Zack Snyder, left to his own devices, cannot tell a story.

Jesus.

Just finished the back-to-front of this thread.

Jesus Christ.

The turns, the reactions to spoilers, the savage reviews, the jokes were all ace.

Seeing if people would either meltdown, go through the stages of giref, damage control, or try to constantly change what the discussion of the thread when the pile-on got too hard was also a blast.

Bravo GAF, we got one of the GOAT review threads in the making.

I see no fault in this logic.

Critics just don't like Snyder it seems. I feel like this is another Man of Steel where the masses generally have something good to say vs the critics who are all so pessimistic.

The movie will still make bank regardless. I mean, it's Batman and Superman on the big screen for the first time ever. Can't wait for Friday to see it.

Audiences loved Man of Steel so much that it lost 67.5% of its business in the second weekend.

I'm going to make the incredibly bold claim that if you liked MoS, you'll probably like this.

Which means that the OT is going to be incredibly interesting. My popcorn is ready.

MoS was terrible.

What's the longest review thread for a film?

Terrible movie, everything sucks besides Batfleck, the movie isn't fun at all, one of the worst superhero movies since Green Lantern or 4 fantastic reboot, don't go see it.

I'm hoping they don't get the wrong message from this and now insist each future DCCU film must follow a set template.

I love the fact they're allowing directors to inject their own styles into the material and giving each film (all two of them) unique elements. Suicide Squad looks great, and I'm hoping it retains the tension of "End of Watch." I'm hoping they give Patty Jenkins the same deal. Judging by the fact she actually signed the deal this time, I'm guessing they did.

Fomthe Birth Movies Death review

"People complain about Marvel’s servicing of its connected universe, but the Justice League set-up in this film makes Iron Man 2 look like a strongly structured work of a single vision."

Damn.

At this point just give me solo Batman movies with Affleck and I'll be happy.

Here's my thought.. Major spoilers btw

Flash shows up in a dream in costume saying he's too early.

My guess is JLA will revisit this film, save Supes, and reveal the Darkseid stuff was from timelines being changed with Bats being sensitive to that sort of thing.

Flash says that Lois is the key.. She almost died retrieving the kryptonite spear which results in Supes being killed.

Oh wow. Now I'm getting excited.

Guys, I think the reviews are wrong!!

Knock if off with the spoiler discussion in the thread. Some people want to read all the great intellectual discussion we're having here about bad reviews for a film which hasn't opened yet. Take spoiler discussions about the actual film to the spoiler thread if you're interested in talking about that.

Also, we should probably not be using this thread to talk about other movies unless it's really relevant to the deep and thoughtful discourse taking place. :P

*cough*

tl;dr
- Take BvS spoilers to the spoiler thread
- Let's try not to talk about other films if there's no relevance to BvS

Can I talk about "Kiss from a Rose"?

You might be onto something...

- Stephen Amell stars as "Green Arrow" in CW's Arrow.

- CW's Arrow is a poor man's Batman. Most of the S1 and S2 villains are Batman villains.

- Arrow's Stephen Amell will star as Casey Jones in TMNT2 this year.
