if this film sours all the immense batman goodwill that nolan built up then snyder will have to apologize to me, apologize to the breakfast club and apologize to WB/DC

batman's my GOAT. it's bad enough spiderman was subjected to those marc webb films.
This is how I feel as well. Ben got a lot of leg work to do now smh

No, they just wrote/are writing a treatment. Seth Grahame-Smith, of Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter fame, is writing and directing the Flash.
... Well, time to drink until I forget I read that, only to inevitably read it again at some point and drink again.

Geez, DC...

I started the season with this opinion

now im like 3 eps away from the end and im a bit torn

I like it in stylized shots and such

the eyes are cool

dunno. It aint great but it doesnt bother me

I'm still loving the show. The suit and the fake ass blood sfx are really my only nitpicks. And Deborah Woll is the hottest woman in the MCU. Come at me.

Is there a way to have Nolan rewrite and redirect the movie? Just leave the Snyder action scenes, they look good from the trailers. So just have Nolan do the talky bits.

WB should have just done a Man of Steel 2 and slowly expanded their universe instead of just jumping head in.

If this underperforms, it has the possibility of killing their entire CU.

I just read that review. Scathing!

I'm not reading that review but is it MovieBob? I'm positive the movie is a tranwreck at this point but that's the last "critic" I would take seriously especially with regards to a comic book movie. Dude, has an unfathomable hatred for TDKR and a massive boner for Marvel.

That's probably for the best. The core issue isn't even how they rushed everything, it's that old "no jokes" policy and getting Zack Snyder to direct.

"No jokes" only works for Batman, it's not surprise that Batman is supposedly the best part.

Guys... guys... stop sweating. Batman in this movie is AWESOME. I am not worried in the least about a solo movie with this character. In fact, I'm looking forward to it. This movie isnt great but Batman is definitely a standout. An Affleck solo movie is something to remain excited about.

he
kills people

Superman also
kills people

shut it all the fuck down

I think people were hoping for a good movie. Like, you can have a movie about two people facing off against each other that also contains good pacing and competent storytelling. Just hoping that Batman and Superman punch each other in a movie called Batman v. Superman is a really low bar.

Ah, well I guess this is just my issue then. Or maybe just misunderstanding. I don't approach these types of movies the same way I would something... serious isn't the word, but grounded maybe. To me they're just filler. Something to do for a few hours on a weekend. If they look cool, have some memorable parts, and I don't hate myself at the end that's all that matters to me. However, I still won't watch a Michael Bay Transformers movie.

Still hoping it'll be a fun time.

Again, this all depends on BvS's legs. If it drops like a stone after Week 1, they'll probably halt production on the JL movie and fast-track a solo Batman movie for 2018.
I never though I'd be rooting against a Batman movie so hard for the sake of another.

- guy plays Daredevil badly in bad movie

- gets cast as Batman

- plays Batman alright in a bad movie
, but defies the only truly famous Batman rule, missing the character mark

- guy plays Daredevil amazingly in amazing series

- this guy plays Daredevil and respects the rule Batman is famous for, succeding in being more Batman than Batman

- the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started out as a Daredevil parody

what's the meaning of all this? TMNT2 best superhero movie this year

cowabunga BITCHES

I see no errors in this logic.

Even with a good reception, I'm not sure how well this was going to hold up anyway. Furious 7, which opened on Good Friday as well, had a 2.4 multiplier. Man of Steel had 2.5 despite summer weekdays, while Sucker Punch and Watchmen didn't even manage a 2.0.

Having legs like the latter two would be well and truly disastrous, and I highly doubt that happens. But even under the best circumstances, BvS would be lucky to make more than 2.5 times its OW in domestic total.

Critics just don't like Snyder it seems. I feel like this is another Man of Steel where the masses generally have something good to say vs the critics who are all so pessimistic.

The movie will still make bank regardless. I mean, it's Batman and Superman on the big screen for the first time ever. Can't wait for Friday to see it.
