That's probably what will happen. Lex making Doomsday was really really a bad story idea.
I think then they could have shown it more with Clark just defending himself until he's backed into a corner. Instead he throws Bruce across rooftops quite early on

That's because instead of letting him talk, Bruce keeps throwing dumbass guns at him. Clark's stupid so he figures a nice building ride will make him calm down, but nah, enjoy my green gas super canceled into DOUBLE STOMP
Clark was arrogant too. He was trying to tell Bruce to calm down, but did it in such an asshole way (if I wanted it, you'd be dead already!) that it just made him madder

I'm seeing the movie this weekend, but Lex creating doomsday seems like a very very dumb idea whereas Tony making Ultron seems more plausible in the movie universe.
Lex doesn't really make Doomsday (in like a hands-on Frankenstein way). The AI of the crashed ship of the Kryptonians makes it for him. He just orders the ship to do it. He takes Zod's body into the ship and then they transform him into Doomsday.
why? i guess plot reasons. something tells me if i hate how Lex acts in the trailers the full movie wont sway that opinion.
Ohh. I am more talking about the action here. While doomsday being the fboss is kinda disappointing, but man the battle actually looks nice and intense while the final battle against ultron and his mini ultron is simply damn underwhelming.
For me that moment after Clark drops off Lois and flies up to Lex to see him just casually sitting down and his line "BOY DO WE HAVE PROBLEMS UP HERE", he just completely dominated Superman at that moment. He had total control. I loved it.
I loved this scene as well. And then he brought out the messed up photos of his mom. Eisenberg was great here channeling some disgust and anger for Superman.I think this might have been his best scene in the film. I understand that this Lex is quite different from most iterations, but I kind of liked his portrayal.
I kind of hoped that Lex would lose his hair from something that happened within the Kryptonian ship (radiation or something), instead of it just being shaved off.
Why does he create Doomsday? Because his first plan, to have Batman kill Superman, failed. After he learns this he needed a new plan to kill him and then Doomsday is grown and released.
I didn't mind his head being shaved in prison but man we could have gotten an All-Star Superman prison scene if Supes wasn't dead.
Also Clark Kent the reporter really needed a scene or two with Lex before shit hits the fan. The library ball would have been a perfect time for Clark to ask Lex about both Bats and Supes only for him to troll the shit out of both of them.

I know fuck all about him, so I just figured that Lex only knows of Darkseid because he had access to the ships archives. Then gave him a call on t-mobile

It felt like he channeled The Joker somewhat. I kept getting hints of that in his voice and intonation.
This is what I thought as well. He probably learned a shitton about the universe and saw Apokalips and Darkseid and probably some other villains.

Confirmed onscreen deaths or "yeah there were probably people in there" deaths?
Dunno about the latter, but apparently only 2 for the former, only 1 of which was deliberate. Less murderous than Keaton I guess.
About as many as in the other Batman movies.
- He throws a grenade back to a bunch of thugs and one of the guys grabs it and it explodes.
- He shoots the tank of a flamethrower guy who threatens to kill Martha Kent. The tank explodes and that guy is toast. I think this was the only really direct kill by Batman. It's like the scene from The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel "I believe you".
- He knocks out countless thugs.
- He brands, stabs with knives, impales guys with his grapple gun, and breaks limbs.
- He does destroy a couple vehicles with people inside during the Batmobile and Batwing scenes. Not sure about their outcome. Probably dead.

In John Byrne's Superman, Lex actually cloned Bizarro. Doomsday was also always a clone so it the change doesn't really bother me.
Though Doomsday's comic origin is pretty brutal.
All the guys in those technicals he blew up with the batwing surely died.

Maybe. Like I said, he's hanging around at or below the average kill count. The punisher comparisons are wholly unwarranted.

I tought Batman would stop fighting with Super because of Doomsday or because he saw that he was a good person, but he stopping just because he heard his mother name looked so dumb for me

Exactly. His "kills" are no worse than any other Batman film, including the Bale trilogy. People making the worst of this have a selective memory.

On a sidenote Batman's interaction with Wonder Woman at the end is incredibly awkward and artificial too. Instead of questioning her war photo, he tells her that they should find the rest...because he got a feeling something is going to happen.

Reading this without having seen the movie, this scene actually kinda makes sense. For the first time, Bruce sees something that truly humanizes Superman.
Did Snyder really mess it up that bad?

Why is it all on Snyder? There are others who had a [much heavier] hand in the screen play and likely a lot of executive input given what a bloated mess it came out to.
The direction isn't the greatest, but the problems go far deeper than that.

*I don't think he screwed up there. That scene and the whole Batman vs Superman fight is the highlight of the film for me. I dug it. Like you said, the Martha thing makes so much sense and it humanized him in the eyes of Batman too. It made him open his eyes and see things clearly.
Look at his track-record. Look at what excites him in interviews. Look at the fact that he went to fucking Frank Miller (like... modern-day Frank Miller) to get guidance on how to handle Batman.
I liked his Watchmen decently enough that I gave him the benefit of the doubt, even after Man of Steel. It's him. He's been surrounded by idiots and hacks, but at the end of the day, he's the guiding hand behind his projects.
