Yeah, I just need to get better atHaving enough estus/hp after phase 1
So I prefer to start these games as a deprived but I don't want to be stuck with a club for a long time. Can anyone tell me how quickly I can find some dex weapons to switch to?

It's really, really good. The combat system is a straight up improvement compared to the other Souls games (and I actually prefer it to BB's), the level design is very good and very consistent so far from what I've seen (10 hours of gameplay), and the bosses and enemies still manage to surprise me even though it's the 5th game in the same style. The enemies and bosses also have more complex and fleshed out movesets than in any other game in the series.A few old bosses make a come-back as mini-bosses and the changes in moveset are very apparent.
The way I handled the first phase was to hit the boss as fast as possible until the second guy joins in. After that I ran around until the hostile guy woke up. I then used the opportunity to kill the boss' ally before wailing on the boss while he's busy with the hostile guy.
I'm actually quite surprised how well I'm fairing with the JP version. I'm not even using the translation resources and I'm making good progress. But yeah it's a weird decision, especially in this day and age.
Are the katanas any good? Is there a nice selection of them?
oh man this game has some cool looking areas
Look what I found (I guess I'm not the first)

Ended up finding it. Thank you. I passed by the area a couple times and somehow never noticed it!Yes, that one.
Any general consensus on the difficulty so far? Harder? Easier? Comparable to any other games in the series?

The map design in DS3 makes DS2's look like a complete joke.

How does the game feels in terms of size and content compared to DS1 ?
Can you warp to different areas immediately, like Dark Souls 2, or do you have to wait and get a special item?
man, I can't really tell if you ain't serious or if you're just flat-out and constantly wrong.Man, I've been watching this shit all day
this shit is GOTY unless they pull a Dark Souls and the second half is just wack

Absolutely. If it looks AS good as Bloodborne, that's enough for me. So does it? :|
do we have an estimate on how long it is? i prefer shorter games, that's why i liked bloodborne, i was done with the story in 15h and then 2-3h more for the optional bosses (excl. chalice stuff, i didn't like that). would be cool if it is around that time.
Is it me or is this game kind of difficult to play without a shield? I'm trying to play with a 2-handed claymore because I recently used the same build in DS1 and I find it a lot harder.
