More enjoyable to talk about BvS than Thor 2, gotta admit that. Review thread / spoilers thread seem to reinforce that.

We spent more time in the review thread talking about Marvel than we did about the movie.
Movies audiences liked almost never have 70% drops, whether its a small grossing movie or a high grossing one. 70% drop means it has bad word of mouth.

Has this gif been run into the ground yet?
BvS will be remembered for the same reason ASM2 is...

The Titanic is still one of the most famous ships, so I see your point.
Nobody remembers ASM2. Sony somehow managed to make the ASM movies so bad and uninteresting that people are too apathetic to even shit on them.

Also: it's time to stop calling BvS "polarizing" or "divisive" as though it's a redux of MoS. Anyone is free to like or defend it, of course, but it's clear at this point that it's been negatively received and regarded as a bad film by the majority of people who've seen it.
I don't think affleck shits all over Bale like some fans are so inclined to say now. Bale gave a better performance
But aesthetically he's fantastic as Bruce and his rapport with Alfred is off the chain. I don't like this movie but scenes like that workout, him and Alfred engaging in banter and the warehouse have me very optimistic about the batman movie. Despite how meh this film ended up
Batman could potentially be the best comic book movie of the decade. The pieces are there. They just have to use them well.
Is this a record?
Justice League is the sort of movie where cutting its budget would make less sense than not doing it at all.I expect Justice's League budget to be cut in half or worse.
If it holds, yes, it would be the highest drop for a superhero film -- currently the biggest are for Hellboy 2 and Jonah Hex.Is this a record?

Awesome news
Maybe Zack Snyder won't get to make many more style over substance cash grabs.
It's so, painfully, obvious WB wants to catch up with Marvel. They did MoS 3 years ago...and then nothing. Even in MoS there wasn't really anything that hinted at the DCEU. It's like even back then, even after Avengers came out, that WB didn't have confidence in the DCEU.

A human with a mind, heart and soul..Who's the dude with glasses?
Sadly that really isn't how Hollywood works for a movie like this. If they had serious concerns they would postpone it and potentially bring in an entirely new group to direct and produce it.I expect Justice's League budget to be cut in half or worse.
Yep, I thought it delivered.

Supposedly Snyder has a very strong contract that will give him a big payday if he's taken off the project.Sadly that really isn't how Hollywood works for a movie like this. If they had serious concerns they would postpone it and potentially bring in an entirely new group to direct and produce it.
Considering they were "weeks to shooting", it is more likely that WB will throw more money at it in terms of reshoots and re-writes. Snyder probably has had a certain amount of creative control taken away from him. Suits will take over.

I wonder how many of the people bagging on this movie have actually watched it...

Considering the drop, not that many.
How can they hold opinions?

Fire Snyder. MoS did OK but the reaction to it compared to Iron Man should have said it all when it comes to building a whole slate of films around that tone.
There's butthurt, and then there's BvS fanboys.
