Overwatch is probably the one game that has appealed to me most this entire generation. The artstyle is magnificent and I'm loving all of the colors, and especially character designs. If Tracer is the protagonist, she's one of the best in recent years.
This is a sign. First my favorite pornstar tells me one of her favorite games is Dynasty Ducks today, and now you tell me, it is cheaper in the Mexican store. I got to check this out now!

(used palette swap skin pictures cos it was easiest to find, but these aren't the default colors for anyone
like they're all combat suits but their spells and personalities and whatnot are pretty fun and attractive. and then u have really generic like a dude called 'soldier 76'. i mean, cmon
but idk, i still love how it looks, it's super clean and stylish and it's kind of modernized 90s cartoon superheroes, i love it

but in all seriousness, the QA of games nowadays is.. questionable at best and i don't see it changing because the general consumer seems to think it is alright.

She got scared, called for her partner. I tried to flee but they were chasing me. I didn't even know if they wanted to hurt me or not. I tried to hide in the shadows and they pulled me out. They were both holding knives.
I tried to defend myself and ended up killing the man. The woman dropped to her knees and cried while I fled, severely wounded.

The one thing I don't like about Hyper Light Drifter is that it's almost too good.
They probably want to have a generic soldier dude to appeal to people who like generic soldier dude shooters, there are still plenty of people buying them.
Plus, you probably know more about moba style skill sets than I do, but I often kinda default to more generic characters in class based stuff, at least at first, since I intuitively know what they do, which makes learning the rest of the game a bit easier.
Its kinda short... and hard I guess. Thats all I have, I thought it was great

It's locked to 30fps and the music is pretty meh. That's it.

It was all the hype come release even as early access. Then it just died off. I don't see much fan fare happening for its "release". Not compared to how it launched anyway.

May I suggest reading Masters of Doom?
I distinctly remember everyone praising Starbound for having a clear Early Access schedule, pushing quick and responsible updates, leading everyone to believe it wouldn't be in the program for over a year. I remember it being 10th in SteamGAF GOTY voting despite being out for like two weeks total.
Then it kind of languished throughout various development troubles and vanished from public consciousness. I'm excited to return to it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super frustrated at how long it has taken. It was the game that ultimately burned me on buying Early Access games in general.
