There's a key difference, though. We already knew what was a Wii U, we had the official announcement with trailers, games, tech demos and promises of unprecedented partnership with EA back in 2011. So, E3 2012 was a re-reval. This time, though? Almost nothing aside from, strangely enough, some Square Enix games DQ producers revealed because they wanted to ( :lol ), SDK going around since October, Trevelyan's Zelda NX rumour. Still, a very low amount of infos overall and we don't know what NX actually is yet.
Also, scary as hell NDAs that surely are helping the overall silence, alongside the strong possibility that not all Western third parties are on board right from the start, let's face it; even if between Trev's schedule for broad devkit distribution, that game a few weeks ago in beta and coming to NX as leaked by a Gaffer verified by bishoptl and LCGeek's recent talk about the GPU, despite the possibly problematic current SDK, I'm more hopeful than before on that front.
