Captain America: Civil War - Final Trailer

I still remember in the BvS showing I went to when the Spidey reveal part came up during the trailer almost half the theater goes "Underooos!" right when Iron Man said it. Shit was great lol

I think the part that amuses me the most about those reaction videos is all of the people wearing Marvel or DC shirts, or having Marvel or DC posters and toys in their rooms. There will always be the fanboy wars of Marvel vs DC, but I think the vast majority of comic book fans probably enjoy both companies characters.
Yeah, It's nice to see so many fans of the Marvel and DC characters in these videos enjoying themselves. There's nothing wrong with having a preference, but the nerd wars are just silly.

I'm jaded and cynical so I can never take those reaction videos seriously.

Nobody likes the Fantastic Four.
just playing

I like this idea of the FF as the family of explorers who jump on a ship, shrink themselves to the size of subatomic particles and then find a universe of people living in there. That's the kind of stories they need to tell with them in my opinion.

Tickets reserved bitches.

Haven't they always had the rights to spidey merch?

Yes, they get 100% of the profits for Spider-Man merchandise, although it gets a little murky when it comes to merchandise from a movie, even if it is the new MCU Spider-Man.

I'm guessing though, that since Sony doesn't get any money from Spider-Man merchandise, they're not going to say much about how they use this new Spider-Man in products.

I feels like people enjoy Civil War trailer more than the BvS showing when posts like this shows up.

Oh man, Spider-Man meeting Thor is going to be amazing. And Banner... if they play Peter as this guy who's grown up geeking over these superheroes, it's going to be hilarious and tearjerking when he realises how fucked in the head Banner and Stark are. Peter probably spent his teen years defending them on forums like Neogaf, where people debated Hulk's kill count and whether Thor was cuckolded by Jane Foster.

Alright, one of these is not like the other.

I had this whole thing mapped out in my head of how Spidey could conceivably be worked into the MCU, but the theory ultimately crumpled under its own weight because it semi-requires Civil War to be an origin story film for ol' Webhead on top of the Sokovia and Bucky drama and what we haven't seen yet. I'll DM it to anybody curious enough to read it. >_>

There's a social media thing on Twitter to vote for a Team Cap or Team Iron Man screening at your town, and New York had better step up for Cap or I swear!

I thought that they went on sale as soon as the final trailer was released? Cause I bought my Imax tickets that same day the trailer went up.

Amy Pascal was laughing at the top picture...and to think the bottom picture maybe short lived too as the deal is rumored to be for 3 movies, I think.

iirc, Marvel regained the rights to Namor a few years ago

I don't think that's entirely correct. What we do know is that Marvel doesn't have all the rights. Universal has some rights and maybe Fox does as well. What we do know is that Universal can't make the movie without Marvel's approval and Fox can't use Namor on their movies. We don't know if Marvel can use Namor in their ensemble movies (a la Hulk).

I usually only go in week 2 or 3. Reasons being that I'm still hesitant of going on opening night after TDK thing and there are always people talking and annoying me when the movie is too full. I do have to go for IMAX 3D for these type of movies as well.

Good thing fuckery like that doesn't happens down here.

When I watched BvS in 3D, the Civil War trailer was also in 3D an it looked pretty well done. Anybody know if that will be indicative of the actual movie or was it just added fluff for the trailer?

Is this some ill conceived attempt to push back against the BvS backlash by pretending AoU was just as bad?

what? no it's just calling a bad movie a bad movie. (if even that, could just be making fun of the scene tbh...scarlet witch does look ridiculous)

what a strange jump to marvel vs. dc

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, it just came across as oddly hyperbolic to me

She must feel really stupid while filming these movies.

Not really, she's an actor. If you think about it other actors have to do the same thing but without a full costume. Her costume is at least more practical for everyday wear. Imagine being Iron Man with just a chest piece. Or even less, just a mocap suit. Or to take it to an even worse extreme, Chris Hemsworth, along with countless other actors/actresses, had to film an ENTIRE movie that ended up being Thor: The Dark World.
