i haven't played the game yet, but i heard some of the soundtrack.
when the original starfox soundtrack gonna get some love? yes, this game has a couple tunes of the corneria theme, but since adventures, i only heard starfox 64 rearranges and not from the snes one.
i mean, i really wanna hear some new remixes taken from This amazing soundtrack.
but anyway, i am pleased of the whole work. It's a good soundtrack overall.
While we're on the subject of the voice actors, I came across this fantastic interview with all the original SF64 actors. Covers everything from how they had to interact with the Japanese team to how Mike West handled the reaction to his Smash 4 performance.
Most importantly, I can't believe the original Peppy's audition for SF643D was rejected! (And that he had to audition at all, lol)
After playing for many many hours, i have to say, i think Zero is the best Star Fox game ever created.
This has nothing to do with my expectations nor "get gud". If you can't put together a cohesive thought without projecting, i would suggest to refrain from posting anything. What an idiotic post.Next time try asking questions instead of filling your own blanks.
I assume Mr Train Monkey dictator was voiced by the same person (since Leon has the same actor), by why would they get rid of his southern accent?
Come to think of it, Wolf lost his southern accent from Brawl also.
They hate southern accents I guess.
Same here.Just did the first corneria level, got silver medal on my first try. The regular arwing bits basically control exactly like old Star Fox, which is great. Don't even need motion for them. The dual screen stuff during all range mode is disorienting at first but I got used to it by the end of the first boss
Same for me. I couldn't get past the controls in Uprising but boy howdy is Zero another story. Great experience all around. Finding the medals and exploring the stages is very addictive.
I just beatand MAN, do you lose your center fucking fast. I don't get why the game doesn't use the Sensor Bar for some re-calibration. It's such a big flaw with Gyro controls.Fichina
"Factual". i have no fuck what you are talking about.
I don't think elements belong because theyre not fun. This is not an argument over whose creation this is. Stop with the strawmen and shit posting.
I was so disappointed when I heard that. Secret best voice in SF64.
I guess they went a different direction since the character changed roles.
A lot of people will have issues with the fight, but I managed to figure out what I was doing wrong (and it wasn't the motion controls)I'm struggling way too much with Andross.
I was looking at the voice acting cast for this game on Behind The Voice Actors, and I noticed something interesting about Wolf: he's actually voiced by his Brawl actor, Jay Ward. Most of the game's VA cast seems to be carried over from SF643D where Wolf was voiced by Jaz Adams, so that's kinda surprising.

This is where i think even some customization for the controls would have helped
Is there a bad-ass level like Area 6 in this game? Where you just plow through wave after wave of a huge enemy fleet?
Absolutely. Speaking of customization, where are the audio sliders and such? A lot of high profile Nintendo games seem to lack them but man, this is one where I would love to crank up the music and drop the sound effects a pinch for subsequent playthroughs...
Such is life, I guess.
I dunno guys, I had no problem with the waggle roll in Donkey Kong (and in fact preferred to use that in Tropical Freeze), Kid Icarus Uprising was fun and easy enough to adjust to, and for all its problems Skyward Sword never gave me any issues with motion control including the Tadtones---but I'm really not sold on this, it's not too unruly really but the game itself is kind of lacking. Played up to the level with the first Wolf fight and while it was fun enough, I was kind of bored. The Gyrowing level totally put me to sleep too, hated that.
Are you sure you have that right? I thought Peppy was played by Rick May, whom' I've heard in a previous SF thread saying he retired, but occassionally returns to voice the Soldier from Team Fortress 2.Wolf: Brawl voice
Pepper: 64 Voice
Pigma: 64 Voice
ROB: 64 Voice (same actor as Pepper)
Andrew: Mike West now voices him

Edit: As more music comes in, the Tutorial medley...If there's one thing that definitely stands out, the compositions in this game are stellar.
So, I just started playing this today, and I have to say, it's the most frustrating Nintendo game I've played since I can't remember. Maybe it's me, but I just can't get used to the controls, and they make what would otherwise be a fun game nearly unplayable. It makes me sad, because I was really looking forward to this...
Strafing runs takes some time to get used to, but once you get a feel for your ship and its relative position, things get a whole lot simpler and it becomes a matter of trying to pump enemies and weakspots with some well directed precision laser fire.As someone who believes that games can improve when alternative control methods "click" (for example, Skyward Sword), I will say that it definitely feels like the game will grow on me over time.
It definitely takes an adjustment.
If you haven't read the entire thread yet...
Use the alternate control scheme. It makes it so that gyro only activates when you press ZR.
Holy crap. Thanks for the tip. I'll try this later. This might just change everything.
I initially thought this would be better but it's not. Being able to freely aim while you're moving independently will prove valuable as you progress. It does take some getting used to. It started to slowly make sense to me since it was definitely a new coordination thing.Holy crap. Thanks for the tip. I'll try this later. This might just change everything.

Crazy that they got these guys back.
Yeah, shame about Peppy since everyone else is pretty good. I think the anime VAs are different, right?Pepper's VA's performance sounds nearly identical to his N64 performance, I guess the bass helps. Pigma's VA was the narrator in Kirby Epic Yarn, so it makes sense that Nintendo kept in touch. I think Lyssa Brown does better as Slippy here than 64, though Peppy is a bit of a downgrade from 64, but still far better than Seavor.

Slippy's the best he's ever been there
Aww, I liked Seavor because it sounded like he at least tried to sound like Peppy--I didn't get that from the new one at all (not that he's bad otherwiise)
