Mercy is definitely my favorite support; it's a shame though that supports don't get that much plays of the game at the end so there's not much in be getting a highlight intro for her. Eh, atleast there's victory poses.

This game is so much fun!! After playing a few hours I completely love it. Tracer and Widowmaker are my favorites right now. I can't wait to play more tomorrow; this game is addictive, haha

This game is tons of fun so far and I can't wait until the community actually learns how to play it. Right now barely anybody is playing support characters and even less are playing them well. Healing teammates almost garuntees you win right now.

Pharah is so good, such a versatile character. I got a 19 kill streak with her in one of the first matches I played tonight like it was nothing.

true mostly on payload maps

I got a ton of accolades for playing a support, its really fun role to play and I definitely do the most, good there. after playing a bunch today turned my perception around on this game. Totally buying it now.

Super dumb question, but I see a lot of people playing on ps4 already. I have a beta code from an Amazon preorder in North America. Did it become available early or am I seeing people that redeemed a beta code on an Aussie alt account or something along those lines?

I love this game so much already god. The short round times are just perfect.

This is legitimately one of the biggest positives for me, games aren't drawn-out affairs. If you lose, at least you lose quickly.

Man, Mei can be godlike when it comes to blocking Payloads, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the cooldown for her big ice-wall was increased. Five seconds almost felt like cheating - then again they're pretty easily destroyed, so who knows. Also, I've noticed teams have the hardest time handling Reinhardt, especially if the player is turtleing up using that big-ass shield. Anyone know of a good counter to that?

Servers went online at 7PM EST today (well more like 8 on PS4), so if you have a code you can start playing.

I think one of the greatest achievements for this game is how much fun it is to play support roles. I mean the whole game is fun but in most games generally playing the healer isn't a really fun thing to do, challenging sure but not generally fun or at least not as much fun as it is playing an offensive character.

Every support character in this game plays very differently and all offer some really great mechanics. Sure its easy enough to heal with Mercy but choosing between when you need healing and when you need to buff someones attack? Using her ultimate at just the right time which can give your team the win? All of the support characters offer different things like that. I was so surprised how much I liked playing Symmetra her turrets are crazy strong if setup right and her weapon is pretty powerful, the teleporter doesn't seem like that big of a deal but it can completely wreck a team that can't find it. Lucio is crazy fun with his speed boost but his hp regen is massively helpful and he can hold his own against a lot of the attackers. Then you have Zenyatta whose orbs both heal allies and can debuff enemies causing them to take more damage, there is nothing better to throw an orb on an enemy tank and just watch as your team just melts his/her face off in seconds just because of your orb.

Blizzard absolutely nailed the characters in this game I just wish we had a campaign of some effect to go along with it.

typically depends on their team, if reinhardt pushes up way too far flanking is the best with tracer or genji afaik. main thing is gotta break the death ball up if they stack up behind the shield.

12 isn't so bad considering the game is 40 bucks (I mean, they're pushing the 60 dollar doodad edition, but I mean) but yeah, hopefully we get some kinda updates in this department as time goes on.

This game is 40 dollars where exactly? Serious question, I've only seen it for 59.99

Just played for a couple hours on PS4. I haven't been this immediately in love with an MP game since the first time I played the original Counter-Strike. Everything feels super polished and well executed. Shockingly, despite the huge roster of characters the game feels easy to pick up and play while still having a significant amount of depth. Pulling that off is not easy and is insanely impressive for a studio that hasn't made an FPS before.

Visually it's gorgeous too. Great image quality and rock solid performance on PS4.

My only gripe is that because I'm always so focused on making sure that I'm filling a gap in roles on my team, I haven't really gotten to use the attacker Heroes much. Lucio has been who I've mostly been sticking to and he's a whole lot of fun. I suck with Tanks :(

I really like the random Hero mode. Gives me a good chance to try out a lot of characters and see how they work with others. I even got a Play of the Game my first time as Tracer in this mode!

I can already tell this will be a rare MP title that has serious staying power with me.

I am in fucking love tbh, I've played for a long while but being able to play with my friends adds another element to it. Such a great game

I wouldn't say it's hidden, it's right on the purchase page

Yeah but if you click the "Buy Now" button on the launcher it takes you to the 60 dollar version, you have to click the "Overwatch Products" button at the top left corner of the screen or you never even see the option.

If I hadn't been looking for it I doubt I'd ever have noticed.

I played a few hours before I left to work. The game is top notch but for some reason it didn't really feel satisfying to play. Most of the weapons did a shitload of damage but at the same time they didn't feel powerful. With all of the characters they have, I kinda wish that there would be some sp content.

Yep, played quite a while and I really like this game.

Altho tracer feels impossible to kill but w.e

Haven't had much experience, but soldier 76 (?) seemed like a good counter for me. Junkrat was alright as well.

i think sp content is inevitable

just based on the story its supposed to be overwatch vs robots

I mean if you go to the basic purchase page, there's 3 giant tabs at the top, and if you click the standard one it links you to the $40 version in big bold lettering. idk how you can get lost there

Played about an hour, only one two games (out of six or seven), having a total blast. I can even have fun with Tracer of all heroes. Career page says I only have seven solo kills, but 27 eliminations. I'm not good, but I'm helping my team and enjoying myself.

I hated TF2 with a passion so I went into this thinking I would uninstall it after 1-2 games but ended up playing for hours. Game is so much fun.

Played 2 hours on the beta and loved it! 1st hour I was just playing a bunch of random characters (thus didn't really learn any), but 2nd hour I only played Roadhog and he REALLY clicked for me. Hooking the enemy is so satisfying.

I don't know how you expect to get behind him when he can turn around instantly.
Because he's a person? He's stationary and he can only look one place at a time. You don't just walk right up behind him from somewhere he's looking. By that logic anyone behind Reinhardt would be unkillable because he's got 2000 hp that he can face wherever he wants.

Yep :( Welcome to new player day.

RE: 12 maps: They've got a LOT of depth and routes and positions to learn. The hero combinations and abilities make the maps a lot more involved than something like Call of Duty where there are basically only a few considerations for where you can attack into and where you can be attacked from. We played only 8 maps for most of the beta nad had a blast for hundreds of hours. Plus, they're adding more. They added 4 already this past few months.

No you are right. I'm just saying I bet 90% of people will click the link on the launcher tab in the Games section. Which doesn't show you the 40 dollar option. I don't blame them for that, good marketing.

Besides, I gladly paid for the 60 dollar version and even though I've yet to play it, I have no regrets!
