So many people are bitching about Hanzo being all luck, just like people bitch about huntsman snipers in TF2. lol

I think people are confusing Hanzo's normal arrow with his scatter arrow. The scatter arrow splits into like a dozen arrows and more often than not one shots. Even though there's no proof of arrows tracking, I swear it does when it splits.

naw ive seen a hanzo take out like 4 people all one shot. as if he just shot in their general direction and instant headshot with normal arrow
 
so whats the reason for no scoreboard ? theres way too many casual elements in this game...

get rid of the shared kill mechanic and introduce assists

Jeff Kaplan, the game's lead designer, talks about it in this interview with Gamespot. They toyed around with the score system a lot, and at one point the game did have a more traditional "spreadsheet" scoring system/scoreboard that most FPS players are used to seeing at the end of matches. But it just didn't work in "telling the complete story" of what the top players of each match had actually done to earn those top spots since Overwatch isn't all about kills, deaths, and who got the most "objective" points.

I'm loving this game so much but there are things that annoys me a lot and the campers who are using Bastion are one of them, also they should raise the maximum ammo capacity for Tracer, my fav class so far is Hanzo, it's like playing a whole different game

I have a hunch that Bastion's implanted turret "mode" will one of the first things to be nerfed (along with Reaper's special ability). Both are things that strike me as being a tad too powerful. Not game-breakingly so, but if you have two or more Bastions set up at a payload chokepoint with a healer behind them, good luck getting through without a highly coordinated group.
 
I actually enjoy this game so much, I think this will be my go to multiplayer game from now on.

I hope to see more characters added, and some DLC. I'm willing to pay for it.

Stats make people do dumb shit. It's a good call.

So far Bastion seems to be the only class that demands a counter pick or teamwork, without demanding much skill in return.

but its not op and its alresdy been nerfed. there was a time where he had a shield covering the while front of him.
he got that nerf and then got nerfed again.

Bastion is this game's Nova. A struggle/OP to new players but not op and easy to counter for people with more experience. all the new players complaining about bastion will figure out how to beat him. he doesnt need a nerf.
 
Playing today is like reliving TF2 release years ago. Multiple snipers on King of the hill. People refusing to play outside their "main"(usually Bastion). People incapable of controlling their mic volume.

Only thing we're missing is voice chat DJs.

What you describe is still a class that needs to be tweaked. A noob farmer but useless at high level is not good design. A change for Bastion would be good, whatever you want to call it.
 
How can you mute people on PS4?

I was in a game earlier with someone who was in a room with a crying baby and a singing child and wasn't able to stop it.
 
I in no way care about the splash damage, let it stay 120, hell let it do 100. 120 on a direct hit with a rocket or grenade should be 200, specially at close range, specially when at close range i take damage from my own rocket/nade (tradeoff). You decrease the splash so people that spam them aren't as effective and you reward players that can actually aim. Thats the issue here

That's not how you play a rocket based class in like any game ever !! You almost never rely on direct hits and splash damage should be your game anything else and you are doing it wrong really.

This isn't a game aiming for realism, but balance...in which case the slower RoF harder to pull off ability absolutely should get more damage especially on headshots than one that isn't. There is a reason why you'd get headshot damage with an arrow but not with a rocket...because one is easier to hit than the other.

the difference between him and nova is he isnt useless at high level.

hes fine. if you struggle against him. then use him and you will learn how to beat him.
 
Tracer is like someone looked at laggers in games and decide to build a class around it. Imagine laggers playing Tracer :p

I think once the game becomes a bit old people will stop playing Tracer, cause right now she is popular because of being the cover character.

yea i think thats part of the concept with tracer (lag)

and i doubt tracer wont be a good pick because she counters certain heros well
 
I had a similar thing hapen. I got a quadra kill with D.Va's ult (3 of which were full 100 damage kills) and it cleared the node and was the turning point for the game which we ended up winning. The play of the game went to a DIE DIE DIE triple kill that didn't even have majority damage on the kills.

OK.

Play of the game just seems bad. Like, the idea behind it is cool, but it can't be as good as someone watching the match and picking the best play by hand because it doesn't really seem to take into account things like clearing a zone or opening up a chance to push etc. It just picks like, best "score" moment. So you get big multikills getting it.

At least you can go into your highlights and see what the game thinks your best moment is. So far most of them have been what I would say were mine.
 
Anyone else having terrible lag on ps4? Just tried a match and there was so much it was unplayable. It may be me as psn has been terrible for me as a whole this week
 
he is. when the other player is noob and trying to be a noob killer.
but a skilled bastion doesnt play like the bastions you are complaining about.

I wouldn't call that complaining, but whatever. Anyway, the point is that you don't want a class that's a newb killer. You also don't want a class that's 'easy to counter with more experience'. Bastion is both those things, so maybe a change is needed. Doesn't have to be a nerf. That is all.
 
This game is hella fast, crazy and fun but holy shit if it isn't one of the most frustrating experiences ever.

I play it with one friend and our 4 "teammates" if you can even call them that, would actually be more helpful if they were bots.

Meanwhile the opposing team is made up of die hard, balls to the walls crazy, kill spree loving super players who wasted their entire lives on Team Fortress 2.

It's insane.
 
As far as the support cast goes, Mercy feels like easy mode. I know they are probably all strong, but the strategy with Mercy seems pretty straight forward.

That and I always seem to do really well with her.
 
Dang. Servers went down when I was having a good match.

Really liking D. Va. Widow Maker and Soldier 76 are fun as well.

Yeah, I feel like Mercy is quite straightforward. Lucio is so good though, especially if you pick him at the start of rounds to rush your team to the objective.

This game though I'm hooked
 
Anyone else having terrible lag on ps4? Just tried a match and there was so much it was unplayable. It may be me as psn has been terrible for me as a whole this week
I've been having horrible lag on this and blops 3 but FFXIV I have no problem. So I don't know if it's me or the actual games. I put my ps4 vertically and the lag seemed to stop.

Hopefully blizzard gets the these ps4 servers up to snuff since this seems to be the only platform having issues.

alot of heros in this game are easily counterable. thats the concept of the game and why you can change heros unlimited during the match. cause most people have a hard counter. not just bastion.

and bastion isnt the only "noob killer"

Mercy is an easy transition from playing doctor in Team Fort.

Also.. Overwatch gods.. please bring up the PS4 server while I'm getting coffee
