30MB patch
Planning on trying out Mercy when I get to play this game finally on the PS4 open beta. I love support classes, especially healers.
Any tips for me from people who have played a lot of Mercy?
Prayer circle for Mei slow nerf
LOL, we might've been in the same game. Guy kept asking the kid why he was crying. I had to turn my volume down.
It was....A-Mei-Zing
shes fun but fragile, dont overextend, switch between heals and boost when needed, your mobility on foot is slow but your shift movement is quick and a short cooldown, dont wait to use your ultimate on the perfect full 5 person team res. Sometimes one or two resses are good enough. If it's near the end of the game for pushing and defending on a payload map specially (but any map really) try to save the ultimate for a push
oh and as a general rule for everyone on at least dps characters, people need to be less scared of dying
Kinda figured as a Pyro main in TF2 (at least by hours played) I'd click with Mei. But I think I sync'd a little too well.
Never actually tried her untill today, and I ended up being op

The beta has been out for less than 24 hours...Game has serious balance issues but if they fix that I could see myself buying it.
Oh please Mei isn't OP in anyway.
Ahhh that is why I lost connection right at 10.This maintenance is a crime against humanity.
I hope they can rework 'play of the game' to actually recognize the biggest play, not just the highest multikill. It's probably really hard to design an algorithm for that, but it would be cool if it was awarded to a 4 man Mercy revive or 5 man Zarya black hole.
Right now Mercy and especially Zenyatta have top tier highlight intros but we're never going to see them ingame ;_;

I have a pretty hard time identifying things that are serious issues. If you think Bastion is op you haven't been playing enough. I thought he was op the first day or two I played as well.Game has serious balance issues but if they fix that I could see myself buying it.
Thanks!
Should Mercy stick close to one character or constantly be trying to make her way around to the whole team?
Seems like no one voice chats on PC.
What's up with that?

Right now Mercy and especially Zenyatta have some top tier alterante highlight intros but we're never going to see them ingame ;_;
I see mercy revives sometimes. It's less seen than the multikill ones, but it is still in the same tier of "pressed ultimate button"
It recognizes mercy just fine, had one earlier of a mercy getting it, granted she ressed the whole team at once
Lol, just played as Mercy and healed 8,870 points of damage with some thing like 37% of team damage healed and only got one like. This fucking game right here.I was my only like vote, no wonder no one plays healer. It's a thankless job.
Whatever the reason, rolls feel far more infuriating here.
zenyatta is pretty amazing

PS4 peeps who want to communicate add me (same as username). I'll be on in a bit
She's a lot like Medic in TF2, almost zero learning curve if you play Medic well.
Don't bother attacking much, if at all (only when desperate or seeing an opportunity to finish a weakened enemy off). Rely on your teammates to protect you and do damage for you.
Never stand still.
Abuse her [shift] flying ability; it has a very short cooldown. Flying through an attacking enemy to an ally's side can be very effective.
Rapidly switch between teammates, keep everyone topped off. Priority goes to anyone actively taking damage.
Attack boost anyone using their ultimate (especially Pharah or Reaper). Attack boosting a sniper or Bastion in turret mode is also very nasty.
Use cover as much as possible, including hiding behind your teammates.
As you play you'll get a better sense of when the heat is turning up. Once an enemy team member realizes you're there, the rest will start attacking you shortly after. Anticipate this and change position before they can all focus-fire you down.
Either, but you'll be more helpful if you move, when using your shift to fly to people you are very very mobile
Tanks are always good targets, specially when pushing specific points. if it's a payload map, if you were near the payload then the rest of the team will know to go to you to get heals
Junkrat RIP-Tire needs to be nerfed a touch.
shoot it
not much of a problem
Healers in every game are taken for granted. My FF14 white mage weeps nightly.Lol, just played as Mercy and healed 8,870 points of damage with some thing like 37% of team damage healed and only got one like. This fucking game right here.I was my only like vote, no wonder no one plays healer. Yo Mei is pretty good. Ice walling everyone at the start of the match at their entrance is too freaking funny.
