MGSV intro was amazing cinematically for the first 20 minutes. Then it just kept going. Then I had to play it again and I didn't feel like doing it all over.

No don't worry they can balance that all.

It's not like they needed a beta before to help them balance less stuff.

Add a ton of elements that will undoubtedly throw the balance off, no problem.

I'd put UC2's intro over this one. That did such a great job of teaching you the basics in a compact sequence. UC4's is very drawn out and loses some impact as a result. Still very good, mind you.

I'm a bit more critical of this game than some of the ZOMG BEST GAME EVER impressions and I would say there are two undeniable facts about this compared to the other games:
- the gun combat is just better, the aiming is more precise, the animations are better, the sounds and recoil are more realistic.
- the graphics and animations almost cannot be overhyped, they are so good. Just amazing.
Sweet Jesus, you're killing me. I can't wait. Although I'm moving the day it arrives so who knows when I'll get around to playing it :(

They're simply fantastic. And yea, they remind me a lot of KZ2. The gunplay in the game is really tight because the hit-reactions combined with how the reticule operates (turns light red on a kill, moves with recoil), it's just so, so good.

I've actually completely skipped doing stealth most of the time in favor of going guns blazing because of it. The enemies react to getting shot from almost everywhere. And the death animations are also a nice touch which adds to the gunplay. The way enemies will fall over and slide down some stairs, or slump against a wall.

I agree about the MP being overdesigned but saying that about TLOU story is just bizarre. You are allowed not to like it, but "shit"? Seriously?

So I started playing again today and dear God, this is back to the Uncharted I know and love. Story is awesome now and everything is back to being sublime and amazing. This feels like Uncharted 2 now!

He's taking a big leap in saying that as only Akyemeni criticized the story (though some who hadn't finished the game thought he could be right if the story finished the wrong way IIRC).

So I started playing again today and dear God, this is back to the Uncharted I know and love. Story is awesome now and everything is back to being sublime and amazing. This feels like Uncharted 2 now!

It is a masterpiece for sure, I expect nothing less from Naughty Dog.

OMG. The Last Of Us was so good and all of these impressions on the shooting in this game would make me buy a PS4 right now if the PS4k wasn't a thing. It's gonna be a long wait.

Trust me I know. ND is the king of balancing... Things that don't need balancing like their bizarre half health patch.

I will still play the shit out of it but bizarre to see them double down on that stuff.

It's criminal how much YouTube and other compression killed the games visuals. Seeing stuff I've seen in the story trailers in motion, in game...

People just need to accept that the UC2 MP we loved is never coming back. Naughty Dog loves the insanity, imbalance, and chaos that started with Uncharted 3. :/

Unless we get a Classic Mode I would just stop hoping and either play it for what it is or not at all.
