S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 not running well on Xbox Series X, according to early impressions

lh032

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
Yep games can underperform, but at least on PC you can brute force or receive community fixes. For the most part a high end PC will obviously run games better than console. Stutters are a plague though but not exclusive to PC. Traversal stuffs us all.
yes a high end PC will definitely run well.

The problem here is your average gaming PC, most people dont have high end hardware lol.

Yea of course but obviously on an enthusiast forum people are going to have higher end hardware. So you are going to hear from those people

UE5 strikes again.

I hope the PC version does not suffer from shader compilation stutter...
Traversal stutter will be there no matter what. It's a feature.

Senua has a 3080. Lol.
Yep. My 4+ year old card is still more powerful than your Pro's

there is no need to be upset GIF

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Were not real pc gamers unless we have 4090s according to XXL XXL arbiter of PC gaming
Maybe he should go and check my post hystory to find out what GPU I do have. That should keep her entertained for a while.

Imagine having a GPU that starts with 3xxx

My 3080 still runs modern games at 4k DLSS quality so not sure why you're mocking it. It's about on par with a 4070 give or take

While going around talking the most shit. Lol.
Coming from you this is highly humourous. You've smeared more shit on the screen than a German skat video. If you're gonna troll at least be funny

People have too far-reaching plans, I can say this from experience with previous games, if this game even starts up and can work for an hour without crashing, it will already be a success, other problems are not so important =)

Ue5 sucks. It released half baked, devs struggle with it and current gen, even high end pcs struggle with it.

Engine just isn't optimised. The industry has become to reliant on it.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is all about PC, like Metro, Alan Wake, Cyberpunk, etc. Consoles are generally the afterthought here!
Excuses made to cover up for technical incompetence. All about PC yet both the Series X and PS5 are more powerful than ~90% of pc's according to steam hardware survey(GPUs: 3080, 3090, 6800+xt, 6900xt, 7800xt, 7900 +xtx, 4070 + super, 4070+ti, 4080+ super, 4090). All those GPUs make up ~10% of gaming pc's. Trying to hide behind pc as the reason for poor performance is laughable. Remedy has never met performance targets on console. Control struggled on last gen ps4/xb1 at release. They got machines 5x+ more powerful and delivered a game that still had performance issues. The same is true for CDPR as well. When it comes to technical performance, they're trash. In the case of CDPR, you can excuse it a bit because they make good games. However, remedy is a completely garbage developer.

Finally, it's funny you mention the Metro series. Those guys always hit performance targets on all hardware. There's absolutely no excuse for missing performance targets when you know your hardware resource budget ahead of time. It's the base requirement to be even considered as competent.

All of that is cool, but doesn’t negate what I said.

No it doesn't. I had a 3080 and got rid of it for this exact reason. Also the 4070 is trash, its weaker than a 3080.

Maybe you're too young, but if you've never tried to play Shadow of the Colossus on PS2, there were times when 12-15 FPS were considered quite playable =)
As an owner of both PC and Consoles, I can play in 30, 60 and 120 =)
No I'm old but I don't consider what was acceptable 20 years ago to be acceptable today. If we did humanity would never progress.

Perfectly said man it's infuriating and we've been getting shit efforts and incompetence all gen long! Now we have the PS5 Pro and most devs STILL can't give us a PC-like experience for a game like AW2, SW Outlaws or SH2 it's fucking insane. Cyberpunk 2077 not even announcing a patch is bullshit too considering the game has never run well even on ps5/sx after the "next gen update"...game looks bad with FSR2 doesn't even have RT reflections. Tired of this shit

Does "dirty visuals" mean that there are lot of dust and dirt since it's post apocalyptic game or just bad graphics?

Problem with Unreal Engine 5 is it was developed with 30 fps games in mind. Just the same as Unreal Engine 3 and 4. But in this gen the users are asking for 60 fps so we are getting this mess with 60 fps Unreal Engine 5 games.

This is why i think we really need Ps5 Pro in this gen.
