I cant..

too much

Did anybody actually predict it? I have a hard time believing that.
I recall one guy predicting sub 80 specifically because quantum break got 77. Said something along the lines of "this genre is considered to be dated by reviewers, and doesn't score well anymore, quantum break proves that and uncharted 4 will score sub 80 as well"

Maybe there's a list of various stats at the end. Like how many ennemies you killed, number of deaths and so on...

If it's anything like 1, 2 or 3, you can see all statistics in the Options Menu at any time. Like shots fired, accuracy, time spent running, time walking, time in cover etc.

Metro: "Whatever disappointment people may have had with the current generation of consoles up till now Uncharted 4 marks the spot at which those hopes and expectations are finally met. Which takes our excitement for what Naughty Dog might do next almost off the chart."

Rockstar has to be up there in the 90+ category as well.
Yup rock star and ead with Mario / Zelda games have the same consistency but gta is slower but ead matches and even out does nd with its Mario zelda etc output... I still prefer nd personally I got tired of game mechanics and got into story oriented games once I found cs and dota :) they got the mechanics challenge for me since then just just go to other games for an experience

- Far too much padding
- Far, far too many pace-sagging artificial roadblocks to progress

This is what Videogamer has in their cons. What exactly is padding? Not sure what they mean with the last bit. I'd read the review but I don't have the time now.

I'm guessing they mean vehicular exploration, general exploration and exposition etc. But they don't really explain it very well. I think those negatives will depend on how invested you are in to the graphics, tech, character banter, treasures and extras etc. Some will love exploring every nook and cranny, taking screens, admiring the visuals, listening to the characters talk amongst each other etc, whilst others may just want to quickly move on to the next segment.

Everything in this thread has been predictable, it's kind of boring to be honest. Meh, whatever, bring on May 10th!

**goes back to playing Overwatch**

I think it's a lock at this point.

I'm 100% I'd love it more than U1 and 3, we'll wait to see if more than 2 as well.

I think it's mathematically impossible for it to surpass or even match 2 at this point. 2 didn't get any 7s if I recall correctly

I'm sick of this culture where we prey on people's enthusiasm and hype because it makes for good "internet" fodder. Mamarobotnik has this famous wall of shame that I'm on, but honestly, a majority of those posts were from people who were genuinely suprised and non hostile. Meltdown culture and being a character is one thing, but we've had people specifically in Uncharted threads not to play the game, but to remind every one they are here to laugh and mock people. IMHO That sort of behavior is just as irresponsible and crass.

Agreed. They'll have to settle for Ign's comment section which are usually awful.

Any major game with a fanbase that scores low will have some sort of inflammatory backklash.

I said it in the other thread, everybody talks about meltdowns all the time that even if there was supposed to be one it won't happen because you keep talking and expecting it and you are making everyone be extra careful with their reactions.

Agreed. And so far, most people's expectations were in line. It's been echoed over and over again: "This is the best Uncharted yet-"; "This is best game on the PS4;" if these two quotes aren't enough to atleast motivate a passing interest in playing the game- than Uncharted and PS4 aren't for you.

The fact that Steve Burns ended up liking it is a massive plus for the game. HINT: he really isn't a fan of the first three.

Where are all those people that were predicting sub 80 metacritic? Haha

Are you sure those people actually exist?

Funny that some people are angry about an 8.8, but there's no review party without some angst!

Great scores, congratulations Naughty Dog.

Just curious then, why did he end up reviewing it? Not saying you have to be a super fanboy of the series but surely someone who's a loose fan at worst?
