WTF!?!?!?!?!? IGN Germany is criticizing the game for having "large and open areas".

I mean like seriously?!?!?!?

Seriously, i think that Uncharted don't need large open areas too! (it can hurt pacing etc..)

TW3 is considered by many to be one of the best RPGs ever, you really think it wouldn't score more than 92 couple of years ago?
I think you're wrong, big time.

There are more quotes from other reviews of "best looking game ever" or "best looking on consoles" but I won't bother to bring them, the picture is clear, the visuals are something special and almost everybody are blown away by it.

i don't know how it would score, but uncharted 4 is scoring great and around the same that the last of us and uncharted 2 got. Uncharted 4 scoring so great after many games trying this style of gameplay tells more about the quality of the game rather than how reviewers are evaluating games now. It's also taking a lot of time for games to be releasing now. Uncharted 4 was announced near the release of the ps4, and it's almost 3 years after that.

I don't care about IGNs score, but I just find it weird how the Australian score will be the main score. Had to rewind Beyond! when they said that. Don't they usually have different scores for each region?
I don't see any content from the Australian team here in the UK, so it's weird their review is the main one.

What's the Australian score?

Their are like 3 or 4 scores now

IGN Denmark 10/10

IGN Spain 9.6

IGN Sweden 9/10

A lot of reviewers are saying it's considerably better than Uncharted 2 in number of ways.

Kind of a shame that it's neigh on impossible for the critical aggregate to reflect that, because most critics saying this are the same thato gave Uncharted 2 perfect scores.

From what I understand, IGN UK, US, and AUS are all the same entity spread across different offices, whereas others like IGN Spain or Germany are different sites entirely.

Giving a Druckmann game a 8.8?

Nah son.

His games are sacred.

Him and Ken Levine deserve nothing more than 10's everywhere.

True gods among the gaming industry.

I can't tell if this is a joke post or not

The current opinion is reflected in the Nathan Drake Collection.

Standards change. If Uncharted 4 released in 09 it's meta score would literally be 100. :p

Do all IGN sites has the same weight on metascore? or is it just one of them that has more weight?

US IGN got the biggest weight, probably the biggest possible on MC in general (among few others), not sure how they treat every other foreign IGN, but I'm sure it's lower than the main one.

Any popcorn-worthy incident yet?

Had to giggle at Sterling's opening. I, too, wish that Nate would have switched to conflict resolution via talking. He's a family man, now.

I believe after TLOU 2 & UC2, expectations from naughty dogs are bit too high. Had this game been released by someone else it would have gotten even higher score.

Just an opinion

ItsGWC just posted his video review.

AKA, The only review that matters.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9yC-hUXBXc

"Indiana and his friends are people we can relate to and aspire to be, y'know? They are just a few guys gallivanting around the world, leaving death and destruction in their wake, all while pillaging sacred ruins, taking items that don't belong to them, and robbing natives of cultural artifacts that belong in a museum. Y'know, typical American stuff."

LMAO

I really like GameSpot's review, thought it was really well written. I just wish he hadn't mentioned the names of two locations that hadn't previously been shown by ND (at least outside of a very quick shot in a trailer).

I'm deadly serious. I never kid about stuff like this.

Ken Levine lost my trust with Bioshock Infinite, but I don't think it was his fault. He's still one of the GOAT directors.

I think Druckmann/Straley are a cut above (due to consistency) in light of Uncharted 4.

I think they just have the one score for English speaking regions now. A few years ago I remember Martin Robinson doing the UK review for UC2, and he got so much shit for giving it a 9, while Chris Roper gave it a 9.5.

I think we have our best quote yet. :D

Nah i think that's some serious hyperbole, holy crap man. I am sure the game is absolutely stellar, no doubt. But greatest game ever made? Yeah....nah. I just don't believe that, like i said before, as amazing as it is it apparently doesn't really offer a whole lot of new things, which is perfectly fine and if we go by the reviews it's also not right up there with Uncharted 2. So it can never ever be the greatest game ever made. Such stuff i just find pure BS, just like the many 10's, i'm sorry.

I'll gladly eat my words when i play the game next week or so at my bro's place and i find out for myself if that 10 is really exeggeration or not, but no game ever should get a 10.

Amazing score but UC2 is still the one to beat it seems, can't wait to play it !! ND delivers as usual...
Does that really matter though? TLOU has 1 point less on Metacritic but is widely considered one of the all time great video games. I don't see anybody saying that about UC2.

If they want to beat Uncharted 2's scores, they'll have to start a new series, release an okay first title, then go full Naughty Dog with the sequel. Also, they can't be known as Naughty Dog.
