This is a megaton for me.
I always despised the insanely prolonged shootouts with bullet sponge enemies in the previous games. It was always my single biggest complaint about the series.
If they've fixed that...hmm.

Once again, the Tomb Raider-Uncharted cycle continues
It's kind of like an Uncharted take on Lara Croft GO. Pretty solid IMO. I'm surprised they put this much effort into a tie-in. At least it's not a runner

Glad to see the bullet sponges done away with, too. UC1 and 2 felt like NPCs reacted to your hits, UC3's enemies hardly moved.

I downloaded it on both my phone and tablet. On the tablet it crashes after a few seconds and on the phone it downloads updates indefinitely. I'll just wait for a patch.
It's not just Sony who wated for this game. Enthusiasm for the current gen seems rather cooled at this point so even the press would love for it to be rekindled with Uncharted.
If I were "benevolent" I could give it a 8 max, but IMO it's a 7.5 or 3 stars game tops.
I hated that game, but I can't deny that despite the awful writing, shooting and puzzles, it still has quite the production values and you can have some quality fun with it.

Neil did say the story would be divisive (though most reviews praise it). I'm excited to experience it for myself. Hopefully I'll like it!

ND knows. They made that taunt specifically for gaf sales threads.
You can see how confident they are of their product. The reviews are coming a WEEK before the actual release of the game.

Does not matter Ratchet and Clank reviews came a day before release.
Greatly exaggerated scores? This gen? I doubt it. I'd imagine this game, plus other titles like Witcher 3, MGSV etc would have scored even higher last gen.

I wanted to buy this game today due to all the reviews that popped up. Honestly, next week it'll be old news, and I'll just wait until Best Buy drops it down to 40 dollars. When something is new and everyone is praising it I want it, and will some times just go out and get it. that's what happened with the last Tomb Raider. Never really planned on buying it, then the reviews came out and I went out and bought it, had I had a week to think about, I probably wouldn't have.

I don't even remember seeing a 10/10 from Gamespot before. I'm sure they've given them, but rarely, and I'm guessing it's been a long time. Well done UC4.

Besides being a ND game... Uncharted is a very different game , so it makes no sense to compare different games. I can say TLOU is better for me, without even playing U4, because that game suits my tastes more.
I expect better criteria from 'professional' reviewers really.
