Just because you've heard it a lot and some parrot it too much, it doesn't make the criticism stupid. It's fair.

Yes, really stupid criticism.
Its a 3rd person shooter.Just because you've heard it a lot and some parrot it too much, it doesn't make the criticism stupid. It's fair.
Nah, it's a dumbass criticism. We call a dumbass criticism when we see one, that's the way it works.Just because you've heard it a lot and some parrot it too much, it doesn't make the criticism stupid. It's fair.
Wait a min... from Jim's review:
Is this dude serious? I thought this shit was a meme driven by trolls. I did not think a journalist would be standing by this. GTFO with this haha...
Just wow...

Not really. Answering tough questions like that is a writing responsibility you adopt when you put such a focus on story.
Nah, it's a totally dumb complaint. No two ways about it.

Obviously 94 meta-score, DUH!
I can see why you think so, but it isn't. And in a lot of ways the things that irk some aren't what people think. There's a reason why you see the complaint levelled against Uncharted and not any one of a multitude of Call of Duty games, or many other first and third person shooters. Even The Last of Us.
It's a matter of tone, and gameplay conflicting with a tone, and that being neglected by the story. You don't get to ignore it because it's inconvenient - that's bad story-telling.
But anyway, that's a different topic.

no its not. its a shooter. its not a walking simulator.
Nah, it's completely ridiculous.

Can't wait for that 10/10 EDGE bomb to drop!
You all know deep down it's going to happen!
I swear, if IGN doesn't get their crap together and actually gives it sub-9 for the final score, I'm gonna flip.
Edge better come through with a 9 or 10, too.
That's if they value journalistic integrity whatsoever.

A piece of art that has players connect emotionally with the characters and also has realistic depictions of those characters killing for the entertainment of the player is disturbing to some people. If a reviewer experiences that, is he supposed to pretend that those feelings don't exist? Why? Or is his opinion supposed to not matter? Why?
Any score lower than 9 is a troll. Nobody could have that opinion.

We are speaking about a videogame. Sorry but this is nitpicking at is finest .
After reading the reviewer likes it, I'd go for 9.
I think we're on different wavelengths. I'm not talking about Jim's comment, which seems like it came from a place of being funny and inflammatory. I'm talking about where the argument behind his statement comes from.
But again, different topic for a different thread.
Uncharted was once referred to as a Tomb Raider clone, but it wound up being a Tomb Raider killer. Naughty Dog has elevated the video game industry as Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End is pure brilliance.
Yea, I fully see a topic like that hitting the front page of GAF sometime soon.
Filled with people trying to act as if retconning past games is an acceptable outcome to overcome a meme.
Wow.
You know how Metacritic could improve ? They need bar that shows us how much we need to the next score.
Metacritic isn't a game. But yeah, it should be.

Wow.
What was the name of the publication that gave Uncharted 2 a 21/20? Did they give Uncharted 4 a 24/20? Lol
