I wish my copy would show up early.

I don't think I'll be getting my copy early.

I preordered from Gamestop, so I won't be getting it until Monday night, but my brother whom I live with, preordered from Amazon. I'm hoping he gets it early so I can preload it using his disc. Otherwise I'll get home from launch and have to wait for installation.

Speaking of which, for those that already have the game, how long did installation take?

Just watched Gamespot's videoreview and I could be wrong but I spotted new gameplay parts in there. Amongst them was a sneaking bit, so there is new footage in there after all?

It's all new footage. Sony gave every major publication a single packet of video to use in their video reviews.

Yup. I know several people who never finished the single player because they were heavily invested in the multiplayer.

It's a crime that people ignore Naughty Dog multiplayers.

I'm surprised reviewers give no respect to ND when it comes to MP. They've really put a lot of thought and effort into building a MP username for their games.

Uncharted 1 and 3 are about 8-10 hours, Uncharted 2 is 10-12ish.

I can imagine how 17 hours in comparison can feel like it starts to drag. I can also imagine this feeling like a chore on Crushing and on the speed run (I totally intend to get my platinum), especially if the opening chapters are slow.

LoU had some nice pacing in this regard. Intense opener, slow beginning with the whole Robert chapter, but then you are quickly in that area outside the community where you're entering that clicker infested building. Everything else after that was enjoyable, whether it was slow or fast.

One thing in all these modern ND games is a repeated mechanic that happens over and over again, and by the time it happens for the 4th time, it feels cheap.

In UC2 it was the "jump across this cliff and grab my hand" scene

In LoU it was the "fucking pallet"

I have to imagine UC4 has a couple of these. If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like there are often scenarios where you're helping a partner climb something.

I think that's just a perception on forums. UC3 was one of PS3 most popular online communities. Lot of people do want a classic mode for UC4 though, I would prefer that as well.

Thats it? when they are going to release it?

In their next edition I guess?

There are many variables though. There will be some more 30 reviews from others sites until it reaches saturation. If a lot of these are 10s it could bump to 95 without the need of an 10 from Edge. But then among all these 30 or so reviews some 7 could come up, who knows?

I have a bet going on, what are the chances for this game getting 95 MC ?

Zero. You can thank miss ign that gave it a lol worthy 8.8 that will bring it down to 93 on MC.

I decided to play my copy early and its objectively an incredible game that deserves no less than a 9.5. No ifs or buts about it.

Does anyone remember that Amazon deal at around the start of the gen?

It was like buy 2 get 1 free...

At least that's what I thought. Apparently it was buy 2, get 1 30% off.

Anyways, Uncharted will be my last purchase, so Im paying about $50. Pretty great

But I swear the Amazon deal was "Buy 2 get 1 free". Am I wrong?

Sorry to ask here, I dont want to make a new thread for it

No, it isn't.

I'd say your chances are 8.5 out of 10.

8.8 from IGN alone won't down it to 93 anymore even if IGN has a 2x weight.

I didn't know you were a fan of the series :D
Which, Uncharted, or FemFreq? ;)

I enjoyed UC1 and 2, but UC3 was a big disappointment, so despite the glowing reviews I'm cautiously optimistic because UC3 had 10's everywhere too and I found that to be complete BS. Still, TLoU was amazing and did away with most of the things that annoyed me about UC3, so I'm hoping that UC4 is stronger than ever.

"objectively". Lmao.

8.8 is a great score.

Wait, so the 8.8 from IGN is not final and the full review won't be up until 48hrs after the release of the game?

Are they waiting for the online portion to go up or something? lol
