I'm looking forward to reading your full review later and then watching certain posters critique it, since you've rated it below a 9. :O

For the full effect, have a few of your friends record a podcast with their thoughts, so we can link their opinions to your review. :P

The thread is not definitely calm, but it's better and civilized than U3 Review thread. No need to stir the pot.

There is no one ( or at least anything approaching a reasonably sized no ) criticizing the games radar or video gamer review in spite of those reviews being rated lower than the IGN review so I doubt anyone who is critical of the IGN review specifically cares about it being rated below 9.

Yeah, they probably don't care about the score itself. At least I really, really hope not.

The problem is, almost everyone criticizing the review in this thread hasn't actually read it. They based their critiques off a post talking about other editors' thoughts on the game from Podcast Beyond. I've read the review. Twice. It's completely fine.

Anyway, I've brought it up enough. My post earlier was a joke.

It looks like it unlocks 15 hours earlier in Asia? Countdown shows 2 days, 10 hours and 30 minutes for me on my HK account purchase which means it unlocks at 12am China Standard Time on the 10th, which is 9am PDT on the 9th.

I remember when a reviewer from Gamespot gave GTA V a 9/10 and she was getting death threats for that.

This would almost be funny if it wasn't so disturbing. Absolutely ridiculous.

On a more positive note, looking forward to seeing how Uncharted 4 is. Enjoyed Uncharted 3, but definitely preferred The Last of Us. I've avoided most media/spoilers for this so am interested to see how they follow it up.

The real star, however, is Uncharted 4’s sumptuous vistas and astounding scenery. At the risk of sounding disingenuous — new blockbuster video games are supposed to outdo older ones, graphically — Uncharted 4 simply looks incredible. Scaling the side of a sprawling Italian villa, sliding down beds of shale in the misty Scottish Highlands, driving a jeep up a perilous mountain pass in Madagascar — it’s an impossibly smooth travel brochure, each chunk of debris lovingly crafted, each snaking vine given its own special coat of paint. Uncharted 4 is a postcard generator; I can’t tell you how many times I paused to jump into the game’s Photo Mode just to chronicle each vivid moment. It looks so good, it’s almost a distraction. Naughty Dog has outdone itself (and every other game developer).

It's really something how every reviewer can't get over of how amazing the game looks, of how many pics he too, didn't read such praises for visuals as I read in various Uncharted 4 reviews for years, I think that they are more amazed by U4's visuals than they were from U2's, seriously.

Damn it, now #TeamChloe is in the lead. Come on, where are the Elena supporters who dream about her in the dusty recesses of their minds? :P

8.8 from IGN? Preorder canceled.

But seriously, really regretting not buying the remaster before I play this. SFV taking up too much of my time!

Never liked either Chloe or Elena in the games. Not interesting enough on their own, and were largely just played and introduced as love interests for Nate.

Does that count as a negative?

So I just ventured over to Lucy's Twitter, and it makes for sad reading. There are things in her review I find puzzling and scoring a review in progress is stupid, but she has done nothing to deserve the shit she is getting in the review comments section and on twitter. Also apparently she is man hater hence the lower score.

Are IGN commenters officially as bad as Youtube commenters now? I know we have discussed the review at length, but the majority has at least been a discussion about the content of the review and not the score. We have also managed to not personally insult her, which is totally uncalled for.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I believe ign knew what would come of this. This whole review in progress launching around Uncharted release is weird. I honesty believe this was done for clicks and I ain't mad at all. I think it's pretty smart

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I'm going to throw out a conspiracy theory anyway.

Amazing what an 8.8 can do, Jeff Gertsmann so ahead of his time.

I don't believe anyone in here at this point cares about the score itself. Just talking about the review in progress thing

If the reviewer gave the game a 9.4 (higher than Tomb Raider) then no one would be talking about the "review in progress thing".

#TeamElena there is no question.

I have to agree with this. I really can't stand Claudia Black's voice nor do I enjoy Chloe's character. All I remember is a one dimensional tease. She makes it clear she knows she's hot stuff and that's what every interaction revolves around.

If she is in U4, I hope they made her a worthwhile character.

Unfortunately these type of reactions come with the job now, but good on her for giving it the score she thinks it deserves so far(since this is a review in progress). I wonder if some journalists will actively avoid reviewing high profile games like this in the future.

I'm much more amazed playing UC4 than I was playing UC2, and I game on a 980ti. ND have outdone themselves on the animation side especially.

Waaaaat from the very off elena was anything but just a love interest for Nathan.
