I had to get through Dark Souls 3, Uncharted 3, and Ratchet and Clank before U4 comes out, but I managed all of them.

DOOM will automatically be going in my backlog when it comes out, until I finish Uncharted.
Do you even sleep? Jeez!

I felt like getting through a 'monstrous' 60 hr game in Dark Souls 3 was a heruculian feat alone. I bought Ratchet, but I will start it well after I'm done with UC4. No rush on that one to be honest for me, will play it during one of the slow months in the summer. I never beat The Division, but to be honest I don't think I care anymore.... I ain't got time for dat filler content bullshit.

Eh? Is Dark Souls 3 really that long? According to HLTB, it is 38 hours and a half including optional quests. I recall taking 45 hours on my first playthrough of Bloodborne and that was my first Souls game. Are you grinding or trying to "git gud"? :P

Well I'm at 70 hours and haven't beaten it lol

I hit all the optional areas in DS3 and beat it in 27 hours.

Nah, I just explore literally every nook and cranny when I play these games. I like to visualize the world layout, so I unlock every shortcut, go down every path, try and find all the covenants/optional bosses.

If Bloodborne took you 45 I could definitely see this taking you close to the 60 hour range. Dark Souls 3 has a lot more content imo.

Still waiting for me. It shows as "shipping soon".

Really? Because according to HLTB (again), Bloodborne is the longer game with the total time being 45 hours including optional quests. That is pretty close to my time.

What? What takes you guys so long? I should add that I defeated all bosses in Bloodborne on my first playthrough as well and I even farmed for blood vials quite a bit.

That's more like the time listed on HLTB, at least.

I'm doing a magic build and it's hard with magic.

Why are you rushing through? Lol

Rushing through? Nah, wasn't rushing at all. Hell, I had to "git gud" in the beginning and Central Yharnam took me 6 hours to beat in total, minus the first mandatory boss. I should add that I never bothered with the Chalice Dungeons the first time through, though.

Err I thought I was referring to DS3

Yeah I don't really know what how long to beats metrics are... But my playtime for Bloodborne was actually around the 40 hour range as well.

It might be that I struggled less in Bloodborne as the second half that game is laughably easy. Definitely not so with Dark Souls 3... The final three bosses are some of the hardest in the entire series. But there also felt like a lot more optional quests and NPCs littered throughout the world which also granted additional playtime. There's so many secrets in the one of the more open beginning areas that I was exploring there for hours alone.

But I haven't played DS3. 45 hours was for Bloodborne, the supposedly longer game. I wouldn't know if I was rushing through DS3 because I don't even own the game yet. :P

Huh, strange. Oh, well, I do prefer a longer game anyway, as long as it's not bloated and full of boring quests.

Oh, you're sooooo late mate. Dark Souls 3 was ageeeeeees ago.
:( but but... I gotz a job.. And the NBA Playoffs... And Game of Thrones ... And Captain America Civil War... And James Blake's and Beyonces new album... And now Radiohead!

Man these past few weeks in entertainment have been insane.

Depends on what you consider "thoroughly complete". I'm 50 hours in and only halfway through my second playthrough with my first character. Lots of stuff left, and the PvP is a blast.

Just canceled my months old preorder of the Uncharted 4 collector's edition and opted for the digital deluxe. Now my son and I will both have copies on our respective PS4s which include the season pass and I save about $40. Can't beat that!

I'll just ask this in here since I'm afraid to go into other threads because of potential spoilers.

I didn't even know this had a season pass, but is it even worth getting and what exactly do you get?

Uncharted has a season pass? Is it just multiplayer stuff?

I canceled my in-store (best buy) pickup for the steelbook edition because i am still on the fence about going digital because i assume it goes live at 12 EST. That and i am afraid Best Buy wont start putting these orders up till day of release and i will get fucked over like i did with the Mad Max steelbook. You would think they would put that shit aside when they have it in stock and not go get it off the fucking floor the day of release.

Haven't been this excited about a game in a while.

Preordered on the Aus PSN last night ($80 AUD = less than $60 USD right now...) which means it'll unlock for me at 10pm tonight in my timezone (Western Australia), which will be 7am for you PST folks :D

Less than 9 and a half hours to go, for me anyway :D :D :D

DS3 just didn't have the difficulty for me coming off BB so I ended up beating it in about 28-29 hours with all the optional stuff.

Aside from one optional boss, I felt that the rest of the difficulty wasnt too bad (and I blame game mechanics for that optional boss). Luckily there were some real great boss fights in the game.

OT:
Can't wait for the tech video of UC4 tomorrow. And the barrage of spoilers that are bound to be floating around. Hope no one gets spoiled.

The other big hit for UC3 was they lost Graham MacTavish (Charlie Cutter) halfway through filming because he was chosen to be in the Hobbit films. So his role got cut very short all of a sudden.

The Hobbit didn't begin filming until March 2011. Mocap would have wrapped well before that and the game, at worst, a stone's throw from being content complete.

That the mocap scheduling was difficult due to The Hobbit is not something some dude on GAF invented. It's from interviews with voice actors.

I decided to finally pick up Bloodborne since it's only $20 at best buy and man...

Could be poentially two of the best games I play this gen. I still have Ratchet and Clank and Witcher 2 to finish. I'm afraid that UC4 and BB will straight up ruin other games for me.

I wish I could just take vacation to play all this shit.

Ah, right. It strikes me as odd that mocap hadn't wrapped by that point. Perhaps it began later than intended or was protracted due to unforeseen factors.

They announced the release date too early. They also said that was a big mistake. The game should've been delayed or just gotten more time, despite being so iterative on Uncharted 2.

I played it after the aiming patch and thought it was very good but it was very much Uncharted 2-2.

Amazon still hasn't shipped my Libertalia which is apparently arriving on Tuesday. Lol well I guess that means they're going to have some expensive shipping costs.

I played the game at launch but didn't pick up on the aiming issue until I read about it on GAF some days later ("ignorance is bliss" and all that), haha, however I do agree that it struggles to carve an identity for itself. Being more of the same doesn't necessarily make a game bad, of course, just... relatively unmemorable.

Buy the game today, I have 12 hours non-stop playing, the game is very good and addictive, the option of sharing is disabled but I have taken great screenshots. I taked this one with my phone.
