That plus his speed buff make the team getting to the objective much faster, and it actually speeds up the capturing of points as well.

I'm convinced Lucio is straight-up the best support character for Payload matches, especially if you're on offense. His constant passive heal + the boost every 12 seconds + the payload heal is God-tier.

It helps that he's small enough of a character that you can completely hide behind the Payload while healing your team.

One thing I'd suggest for sure, is go into character control settings and change his crossfade from toggle to hold. It means more regen uptime. It's really fun. You basically choose between Paeon, and Mazurka, then there's an ability that improves them greatly that is on a pretty low recharge. Other than that you get to piss people off with your right click which punts them away from you. Funny to do when your opponent is on a map edge. His left click does a fair bit of damage too.

Any other button swapping you'd recommend? I saw someone mention something about remapping his jump command or something.
 
How should I be using Mercy? I keep dying. I was trying to stick by this one Reinhardt but the guy kept wandering off on his own. Is there a particular character I wanna buff or stay on to make sure they don't die?

Was using Genji for the first time last night. The most satisfaction I had was deflecting Reapers ult in two different games.

I did it to Bastion but the first time I deflected the Reaper ult I was like...I understand now.
 
This game has got it's hooks in me.

Stayed up a smidge too late last night playing, just want to play now (currently at work).

The speed of this OT says I am not the only one.

Don't think too much, charge up an arrow and fire it into a crowd at head level. Don't meticulously plan out every shot, just keep firing shots off.
 
It's not going to work in a day or two or once I level up a bit, but man it's a simultaneous dick-move and total riot stacking all of Symmetra's turrets around the main "Attacker" exit from their spawn when you're playing Defense on an Escort map. It's like nobody at the lower levels has figured out that there are *multiple* *exits* out of the spawn point, so they just keep popping out the main entrance and dying over and over and over. Of course, the fact that everyone's playing super-squishy offense characters and not switching up doesn't hurt either. We actually had a match where they never even made it out of their base. It felt wrong

It reminds me of how little people change up their play to suit the environment or what's going on around them. Ditto for people not altering their behavior when hit by a Orb of Discord, firing away full-clip at a shielded Zayra, charging head-on into a Bastion - TorbTurret defended chokepoint, etc.
 
When you're in overtime and you die holding the point and you see your idiot teammate run off the objective after someone, oh lordy the rage. I mean I dont mind losing, because I am bad. But stuff like that is infuriating.

That's only partly on you, some of it is on your team for not paying attention. Nothing worse then having someone you're healing wander into a bad spot where you either can't follow, or die immediately if you do.

If the other team is good they will always be gunning for you first, so you have to be as evasive as you can while healing. When the situation gets bad I immediately look for someone else to fly to if there's time.

Also, Hanzo's hitbox must be pretty generous or something. All the posts I've seen about how to play him seems to be "don't try to aim your shots directly at the player, just in their general vicinity".

Make sure you are constantly taking potshots. The hitbox on his arrows is quite large so even shots near the head are likely to hit. Don't forget his other skills though. A good thing to do is wait at a choke, shoot a sonic arrow to scout, wait until a couple walk into the choke and scatter arrow them. Also, when someone is rushing you, shooting a scatter arrow at their feet does a good amount of damage with minimal aiming required.
 
I have both friends in the eu and na regions,and constant switching regions to check my friends lists to see who's online is annoying. Any chance blizzard fixes this? Having region specific friends lists is quite frankly idiotic.

Mercy is basically the TF2 Medic with a little more mobility and a different Ubercharge.

You want to stick with somebody who can protect you, but not necessarily a specific person, and it's best to stay with the group if you can so that you can swap healing to whoever needs it.

Mercy's heal thing will reach around corners and I think through walls, so you should try to stand pretty far back to avoid dying. Also be aware that everybody is going to target you personally and kill you because you are the healer. Practice running away and using her hug attack to run from enemies.

If you don't know who to be buffing at any given moment, a tank is a good first choice as if they're tanking "properly" they should be the ones drawing the fire. With that said the easiest mistake to make as Mercy is to follow a character who is drastically over-extending; that's just going to get you both killed instead of just them. YOLO tanks over-extending are super-annoying as they don't usually have the damage output to be solo-diving super-far into enemy territory without team support anyways; don't follow them and compound their mistakes (D-Va's a bit weird here as she's sort of a flanker-harass tank).

Will never be fixed sadly. It's been that way ever since they got the realID stuff set up way back.
 
Whats the time taken to join a game? just took 2min to get into one on PC....using America's region while in Australia - that the problem?
 
Not liking this game, seems like just about every other only shooter but a bit slower. Don't usally like pvp game but figured give this one a try but feels like all the rest. I was super surprised by battleborn, guess should have stopped there and not wasted my cash on this. Funny I love the movies they put out, to bad that's not a game...

Have you tried a variety of the characters? What was your experience?
